Does somebody heard (acceped/rejected) from Chicago or UPenn yet?
Posted Jan 21, 2009 18:11
Might be that you are "too qualified"?:)
Amicus,
I also worked full-time at a law firm prior to law school, spent a sememster at FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), and had a summer associate position this past summer. I also completed more than 300 hours of pro bono work during law school.
I don't know what more I could have done except worked a few years before applying to the LL.M. programs. Lets see what happens.

Yesterday night I got my admission offer from Northwestern! that's also good news for whom wants to get into Duke, as I'm sure to prefer NU over Duke, and I'll give up my spot there... good weekend to you all!

Congrats Stagista11 !!!!
NU is a great University, and americans considers its Law School as one of the best (at the same level that NYU and Berkley, and even better than UPenn and UV) so you have to be very proud and happy!
I didn't applied there since speking is my weekest point and I was afraid of the interview, but well, hope to get accepted in another Law School.

I got an acceptance from Duke.
However I UPenn did not admit me with "early notification"; they handed me over to the normal applicants.

Also deferred to the regular cycle by Penn. That was the past Thursday.

except for map2009 (congrats!), did anybody else get any merit-based scholarship from any top university? I was honestly expecting something, but I didn't get it from either Duke or NU...

Me neither.
I'm also from Buenos Aires.
I think that there are not many applicants from our country.

Any news (acceptance/rejections/waitlist) from a top ten Law School in the last days?
Posted Feb 06, 2009 08:33
Hi,
I have no idea whether Cornell Law School is one of top schools. However, I was rejected from Cornell today. Actually, the rejection letter was posted on Jan. 29, 2009.
Cheers,

I am sorry to hear that you have been rejected! Did you apply for any others? Yes, Cornell is top 15!
Cornell is already releasing decisions? wow!
By the way, do you mind sharing when your application waas submitted/completed? this information would definitely be helpful to us!
