I know even if u dnt write the essays u will be considered for the remaining scholarships but i somehow think that writing for Singapura scholarship will srengthen ur chances of getting through other scholarships...i mean if i write for hausar and dnt get through, then i think my chances are brighter for remaining scholarships than those applying without writing any essays....i hope i am understandable.....

yeah, there are no additional essays required for the 'miscellanous' scholarships.
all i can say that this process is intense and I can't wait for the decision outcomes. What I want to know is whether all of you are attending even if no scholarships are awarded to you? In particular, would an LLM from an Ivy League or Top 10 University really be life-changing (from a job/career perspective)?
Cheers

Hey guys, what is the preferred mode for you. Online application or the traditional courier.
I am getting a bit confused with the online application.
I have certain questions regarding online application. THe Letters of Recommendation will be sent online by the Recommedner as in case of NYU or by mail?
What about the transcripts?
It wll be great if you guys reply asap.
Thanks

Hey guys,
I just tried filling out the online application form for the Harvard LL.M. Fields 18 and 19 ask your for your academic interests and career plans and allow up to 200 words each. However, the field itself only displays about 150 words and I can't seem to expand the field or decrease the font size. Did any one you succeed in that or did you just make do with the 150 word limit?

anyone applying to Upenn?
Posted Nov 16, 2008 16:47
not me! I have read that UPenn don't have much financial aid available so I didn't apply to them - good luck to you though!

I submitted the application wednesday a week ago, and got a confirmation email from hls last night. I am not putting my hopes up at all though. Its just to expensive for me and I doubt that I will get an admission offer, as I am just graduating and don't have so much work experience and all the other stuff they wanna see in a LLM applicant.
Best regards and good luck to you all! :)

Dear folks,
I received the first Harvard confirmation email last week saying that they have received my application documents and will let me know if I need to submit additional documents, and will also send me a second email confirming the completeness of my documents.
So far, I have not received this "second" email. Did any of you receive both emails?
Thanks!

Hello all,
I understand that for those universities that accept online applications via LSAC (e.g. Berkeley, HLS), the online app. is first transmitted to LSAC and then forwarded by them to the relevant law school. (please let me know if my understanding is incorrect). If I were to submit my application to LSAC on the 26nd, will it be deemed to have been received by the relevant law school on the 26th or since LSAC will subsequently forward my application to the law school, will such school's date of receipt be taken into consideration instead of LSAC's? If this is the case do you have any idea how long it takes for LSAC to forward the e-apps to the relevant law school?
I hope I could make myself clear on the above.
Many thanks
S.

Hi again folks.
I sent an email to Harvard yesterday asking about the second confirmation email, and this time they replied to me surprisingly quickly(thank god!!), Below is what I received, seemed nothing helpful at all.
quote: Because of the large number of applications we receive and the relatively short time available to process, circulate, consider, and respond to each one, it is not possible for us to reply to telephone, fax, or e-mail inquiries asking us to verify receipt of application materials or confirm application status. Responding to such inquiries would slow down the entire admissions process significantly for all applicants, while servicing only a few. We regret the impression of impersonality that this may give, and ask you to understand that it would take more time than we have available to respond to status inquiries.
Although we cannot respond to status inquiries by telephone, fax, or e-mail, we will keep you informed of the status of your application by sending you a notice after we first receive your application form, and a second notice letting you know whether your application is complete. No further notices will be sent.

TO: applicant2009
Take it easy, delivery time shall not be counted. It should be fine if you mailed it before the deadline. Good luck!
