yes have applied for financial aid at HLS and CLS.

working on NYU right now. Does anyone know if there is a finanes form for NYU?

I dont recall seeeing any finances form, just instructions that must be adhered to in order to be considered for scholarships.

I am excited to be submiting my applications but doubtful I would be able to attend if no aid is extended by the universities. Are you in the same position or would you be willing/able to pay full fee for studies?

I already submitted my application to Harvard too.

Regarding the financial aid, do you think the acceptance may be influenced by the fact that you are applying for financial assistance? I know the webpage says that both process are separate, but I am affraid that my financial situation may affect my chances.

If I am accepted I will go anyway and take a huge bank loan, but I am not sure if they are aware of that.

All folks, have you received the Harvard documents complete confirmation email? I submitted my applications about 20 days ago and still have not received the so called second email, confirming the completeness of my documents? Also no confirmation from Stanford.

@applicant 2009........There is no financial assisstance form for NYU......just the 3 additional essays u need to write for applying for the scholarship funding.........

@ JURISMASTER..........i also have not recieved any confirmation from HLS....though i applied one week back but NYU and CLS applied within a week unlike HLS......

@brightest and Jurismaster... Even i sent my HLS application last week, and the courier shows delivery done (about 3 days back), but no confirmation as yet from the Graduate Office.
Can someone plz tell how long do they ordinarily take?

They however haven't called up my report from LSAC yet...

hey guys, re NYU,I find the Hauser scholarship application difficult too, but think it isn't easy for any of us! and at least we who submit our applications electronically are not in a hurry yet, since we don't have to worry about courier...
I will submit an additional statement explaining the peculiarities of the grading system in my country LSAC did not properly understand.

hey... even i've received the confirmation of receipt from HLS. they'll inform of any shortcomings in the application "historically, anywhere between a few days from the date of this e-mail to a few weeks"!

I am glad I sent mine via regular airmail and still met the recommended deadline - express airmail would have cost me 3x more!

Does anyone know how competitive admissions are? 1500 applicants for 150 seats? Would that be right?

Yes, NYU and CLS are very efficient. I received their documents complete confirmation very quickly.

Applicant86, applicant2009 and evyone having problem with NYU hauser scholarship essays, I want to tell that I also had problem writing these difficult essays.......i mean i could not make out how we can actually contribute towards..........sao we all are sailing in the same boat........I would suggest to be honest and write ur wat u can actually do..........i mean be simple and specific.....I have been told big big claim will not be appreciated....

XGregX......well i think its difficult coz I ahve heard that approx. 2000 applicants apply at an average of 3 schools.....NYU has 425 seats, CLS has 210 and HLS has 150............so 785 seats and 2000 applicants.....MAy the best Men/Women win......lolz.....

i wont be able to apply for Hauser because i'm a US citizen. which is so unfair.

does anyone know any scholarships for people who are US citizens with an LL.B.??

Hey u can apply for Singapura scholarship if u r opting for nyu@nus as well.....otherwise also write 3 essays because their instructions say "Candidates who are not awarded Hauser or Singapura Scholarships will automatically be reviewed for Grotius, Vanderbilt, Marshall, and Mallal Scholarships.".....I hope it helps......
