Hello everyone! I have asked for an expedited decision on March 17th and received my admission today. I suggest you ask for an expedition decision too if you are also facing other deadlines, they really try to help:) Best of luck to everyone waiting!

Did those who asked for an expedited decision do so via email? How long did it take them to get back to you?
Posted Mar 24, 2017 11:20
It took them half a day to confirm my request and say that they will try to do their best, and I received a decision 3 days after (yesterday),
The admission decision also contained a financial aid offer.

After hearing of people getting rejected when they sought an expedited decision...I'm not really sure if I should! But at the same time I am really anxious to know when I'll find since the NYU and Berkeley deadlines are fast approaching.

They won't reject you because you asked for expedited decision, they just may notify you of rejection sooner than if you did not ask for it.
A bunch of people were admitted on expedited decision request.
Thank you! Did you request/they reply via email?
Yes, I wrote them an e-mail on Monday, attaching my existing offers which stipulate the deadline (March 31 / April 1), then they replied by e-mail as well.

Hi everyone,
Just got the admission offer from Columbia yesterday - moments before I was about to send an e-mail asking for an expedited decision. However, the admission offer does not contain a decision on financial aid. I know the CLS homepage says that financial aid decisions are rendered throughout May, but does anyone know from previous years when Columbia makes the majority of its scholarship offers? I have a deadline for accepting another offer in the beginning of April... Thanks!
Hi, in the past, I requested expedited decision on financial aid and I was successful. I got tuition waiver. Do not hesitate to do the same if you need to know the decision on Fin aid to make your own decision on accepting an offer
Hi, thanks - good to hear that it worked out really well to ask for an expedited decision! I am considering doing the same - would be great to know before I make the decision to take another offer, but I am just worried that it would affect my chances of getting fin aid or one of the fellowships from Columbia negatively to ask for expedited decision... Does anyone know/have any thoughts on whether this could be the case?

That's so great! I got an expedited decision but no word on financial aid. Would you mind saying how much the waiver was worth? I'm trying to work out whether Columbia will be financially viable for me...

Congratulations to all who have been accepted. I am planning to apply for academic year 2018-2019. I wanted information on whether Columbia is good place for international arbitration LLM?
I have about 5 years of litigation practice and I have worked on few international arbitrations matters. I wish to specialise in international arbitration?
Thanks

Still anxiously waiting for the results. Not sure if they've sent out all AD yet.

From last year's thread, it seems like decisions were sent all through the first half of April. So no news doesn't mean bad news.
