LSAC Marksheet Issue- Mumbai University

Worldofip

Hi,

My law college is affiliated to Mumbai University (MU). Hence I sent them transcripts and marksheets issued by my college and attested by MU (as MU does not issue them on its own).

However I’ve received the following reply from them:

“We have received mark sheets from ———- College of Law for your bachelor of legal science and bachelor of law; unfortunately, we are unable to accept the documents for processing because they are issued by the college. Mark sheets must be issued by the university or autonomous college. Documents issued by affiliated colleges are not acceptable. Please contact University of Mumbai and request they directly send LSAC your mark sheets in a school sealed envelope with their official stamp/seal across the back flap.”

Can someone please guide me on how to go about this ?
Thank you.

Hi,

Is LSAC accepting transcipts issued by law colleges affiliated to Mumbai University without attestation by MU?

Also, is LSAC accepting transcripts online after attestation by MU as the university has discontinued physical attestaion of transcripts.

Thanks in advance

Hi Guys,

It says that on LSAC that the university has to send transcripts to them. How are you sending the transcripts to LSAC? Are you sending them directly to LSAC or your university is sending them?

The problem is worse this year because MU has stopped giving physical copies of verified transcripts. Instead they've made the process electronic only. Now, LSAC doesn't accept transcripts sent via email or hard copies sent from colleges. Noone from MU is going to get admission in 2020.

On calling LSAC, they informed me that MU needs to write in the body of the email sending e-transcripts, that they have stopped the process of sending physical copies of transcripts by mail(courier) and the only mode used by them is e-transcripts by e-mail.

I have also written to MU(
transcripts information email ID) requesting them to ensure this procedure is fulfilled. I am waiting to hear back from them.
I will keep this thread updated if I hear more from either MU or LSAC. If anyone reading this has faced or resolved a similar issue, please comment or help out!

The change in procedure of MU from 2020 has caused a lot of uncertainty :/

Hi! Did you receive any response regarding the same? University of Mumbai has refused to write an email separately to LSAC stating that physical copies have been stopped and has in fact asked that LSAC write to them at the office Email id to confirm this fact!

Did you receive any response form LSAC regarding this? Please let me know soon!

Thank you!

Hi. I got an email from LSAC saying that they will accept e-transcripts sent by Mumbai University in its normal fashion.
However, I still wrote an email on llminfo@lsac.org informing them of the situation and requesting them to process the transcripts faster because of the time delay due to this confusion. I would suggest you do the same.

Happy to help in case of more queries.
