LLM UCL / KCL / LSE / QMUL 2018-19

Hi everyone!
I just got an offer from KCL, UCL and LSE.
I finally decided to accept UCL (also beacuse my IELTS score was not enough for LSE).
As to the timing, I completed my application for UCL on 22 of January and got an offer on 24 of February.
Hope to meet someone who will join UCL next year :)

Hi everyone,

Firstly, congrats on the people that have already received offers and chosen places to do their LLMs at.

I am not quite sure if this is the right place to post my question and perhaps you discussed it before (I did not follow the discussions in the last 2 months), however, my question is: I have received offers from Kings, UCL and QMUL. QMUL - it is European Law LLM, at King's and UCL it is General LLM, but since I am currently specialising in EU law (as a Bachelor) I am really interested in following EU Law LLM.

I have read and researched a lot about the universities, but you would get it that it is still difficult for me to take the right decision. For now I am mostly interested into Kings, since they have the Centre for European Law there.

What do you guys think? Any advice for me?

Thank you in advance!!!! Your contribution will be much appreciated.

Best,

Plamena

Hi!
I will be starting LLM at QMUL in September and am currently looking for taking a private accomodation close to the campus as I heard the University accomodation isnt great (not sure though) . Any tips/information regarding accomodation will be of great help!! Also if there are ways of finding a roomate, information on it would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

I applied to UCL on march 13 and KCL on march 16. I got an e-mail from KCL on Monday saying they did not accept me. However, yesterday i got an offer from UCL. It only took 3 weeks. I am going to start looking for accomodation close UCL. Any tips? Does anyone know where could I look for roomates to share a flat?

Good luck to everyone

I registered just to ask this...

I applied to KCL on March 19 but I still haven't gotten any response ... why does it take so long in relations to you when we applied basically around the same time?

The lessons will be mostly conducted at Center for Commercial Law Studies at Lincolns Inn and Stratford is too far considering the time and travel expenses. Stratford is preferable for those students who are undertaking post grad studies at Mile End campus. (which mostly does not include LAW).

Then look for private accomodation. See gradpad, portchester house etc.

But rember the close you are to central london, the accomodation cost increases.

Hi guys! I got an offer from UCL as well. However I was also admitted to the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. I'm purely interested in international law. Could someone tell me which they would choose for IL between these schools? Thanks in advance!

I've received the same message. I already have an offer at QMUL, I heard that the IP department is very good at QMUL. But is it better than the one at KCL?

It's been bugging me for a very long time and I've just about started my LLM preparation. So here are my queries:

1. Firstly, I have a pretty mediocre CGPA of 7.5 (56%) from an Indian university- which I guess equals to around 2:2 (lower second class)
2. Secondly, I have a few decent internships (8-9 in total), runners-up in a moot, 5-6 publications and work experience of about 6-7 months so far.

I want to know what are my chances to get into any of these Universities considering I would be working for about 10-12 months more before I leave for my Masters. Also, how can I further improve my standing to get into the reputed ones? I can't very well do anything about my miserable grades but is there anything else I can use to make my Resume much more attractive to the Admissions Team as compared to, let's say, another dude with a 8.5+ CGPA but pretty ordinary resume as regards to his other achievements.

Please guide, thank you!

Hi all,

anyone applied late March and waiting for a decision from KCL and QMUL???

Is applying late march too late to get an offer?

thnx

Hello I have applied late March to both KCL (22nd of march) and QMUL (27th of march) and got offers from both of them in late April approximately 1 month later. I’m pretty sure you made it on time don’t worry:) when somehing change in the system you will receive an email telling you to check the system but sometimes these mails can end up in spam folder so I advise you to check your spam mails too:) hope you hear from them soon
