Hey All,
I just thought I'd post on as I wanted an objective view of my chances if I applied to Harvard's LLM for 2025-6. I recently graduated with a sold 2:1 (67) in Law from a Russell Group uni in London. I've represented the uni at an international mooting competition, in which our team won an award. I've performed well in international law modules, which is the area I want to specialise in. Later this summer I'll be doing an internship in a small international human rights firm based in Washington D.C.
However, my academic profile as a whole is not amazing. My average for first year was 59, second year was 63 and third year 69.
Does my poor academic profile preclude me from being a strong applicant? If so, which universities would I be better off applying to?
Cheers to an exciting year ahead! [/quote]

It is true that Harvard looks to onboard people with great academic backgrounds. Yet, always keep in mind that they assess the application in a holistic manner, aiming to grasp who's the person behind the application. So you can certainly try to include all relevant experiences but most importantly try to showcase what you gained from such experiences, instead of just listing them in your essays. Just because one particular aspect of your application might lack, it does not mean that you should not try. Focus on showing how the rest of your profile can add to overcome the hurdle of academics.

Ciao all!
I've done my LLM at Harvard a few years ago and since then created a website with lots of materials dedicated to help LLM applicants navigate the journey.
I've written on personal statement, both parts 'a' and 'b', writing your CV, looking and applying for funding, and more.
I also sat on the admissions committee (during my PhD at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy), so the materials I created are also informed by the adcom perspective.
The link is in bio.
Hope it helps and good luck!

Hello all,
When I applied to LLMs last year, I wanted to know if I had a chance to get a job in the US. So I analyzed the jobs that LLMs got after graduation thanks to LinkedIn.
Here’s the table I built for Harvard, Columbia, NYU, UPenn and Berkeley 2022 LLM classes: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1C_XhLqBe7Qwy6ybD0mhvDl1a0hUZ_LI6/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=116676172622308136656&rtpof=true&sd=true
I hope it will be helpful ????

Hi all,
I’m looking to apply to Harvard but I don’t have any publications. Would they flat out reject me if I leave the publications section blank?
Alternatively, would it be appropriate to include working publications in the section?
