I applied to Harvard, NYU, Berkeley, Chicago, Virginia, Texas and Boston College Law School. I already got through Boston College Law School. Anyone has anything to say about Boston College Law School?

Well, I lived in Boston for a couple of years, and the city is off the hook! Totally awesome. I don't know much about BC itself though. Catholic affiliated university, I think. I think some of the buildings are pretty old school (which some people dig). It also has a pretty good reputation as well (at least from what I know). That's about all I know. Congrats on getting in.

In fact, I should rephrase that. Rather than "pretty good", BC has a really good reputation, especially in the surrounding area (MA and NY etc.).

At the end of the day I am a little worried about the job scenario. Boston College has an excellent placement program and thats a definite lure for me. I heard from one of the students studying there right now.. he said that the program is really intense and rigorous. The placements are supposed to be great apparently. The same was said by the Princeton Review as well.. I am not so huge about rankings n all.. but it definitely helps clear up some confusion..

I have applied to Stanford (just for fun-you never know! : ) the scene from the movie "Legally Blonde" always comes to mind- they might decide they need some diversity and accept students that have yet to make an award winning publication!), Berkeley, PennLaw, Fordham, UCLA, USC, Cornell, USF and will be applying to GW, BU, John Marshall AND San Diego!!!!! And I might be forgetting some. As u can see, there is a variety in my choices (from top to mediocre). I just hope I don't end up having to resort to my last choices... Go big or go home, isn't that what they say? lol Btw my application was sent December 14th and complete on the 21st.

tota.. i am sure u'll be fine.. ur choices sound fine.. i see you've applied to the university of san francisco.. have you heard from them yet? The reason i ask is that their program director Ms. Dolores Donovan was here in India and on a whim i applied to the university and i got through. From what i hear their IP program is excellent. What do u want to specialise in?

Tota, dude, what are your thoughts on UCLA? I applied there, too. Southern California Sun, studying at the beach, beautiful women everywhere, everyone's happy and successful...I mean, that's the dream...

Where you from by the way?

Hi, guys. I've been admitted into UPenn and Virginia, but am anxiously awaiting response from Chicago. I'd prefer Chicago over those two. Does anyone disagree?

Congrats on the admissions - that's awesome! My gut feeling is that there's probably not much difference between the three. What makes you prefer Chicago?

@atticus: just heard Today. Great surprise during a stressful day at work! If you're applying too, expect to get a response this week, and good luck!

@trout_face: I guess Chicago has a bit more prestige (at least here in Brazil) and certainly opens a lot of doors in Chicago and NYC, let alone having the best law and economics programs and professors in the Country....

@atticus : Congrats for the usf! when did you apply? I have heard good things about the ip program too, hence the application. My application was completed on january the 11th, I think... should I be worried that I haven't heard from them yet? Are you thinking of going? (obviously you'd like to know all of your options before deciding, so let's just say I never asked!) :)
@trout face : my thoughts on ucla? I am a California fan, therefore I will not say more. Ok, I will! I LOVE California, practically lived there for give or take a year with a few breaks. L.A is not my favorite city, but there is so much you can do there. So I would say I am a west coast person... As for the women, I don't really count on finding one there... Not that they are not pretty, sexy etc. It's just me : I'm a girl (straight :) ). I guess I should start thinking of changing my username to something more feminine, since I have been getting the "dude" thing a lot! lol! But to answer your question, yes, women are beautiful, especially as it gets sunnier and warmer! It is always sunny, the cities are amazing, you've got everything close, Vegas, San Francisco, Napa, road trip highway 1 etc.
Let's hope we all get accepted to our first (or at least top) choices!

Yep, Chicago certainly has more prestige here in Brazil.

Phill, where in Brazil are you from?
