Hi there!
I've applied to U.Chicago too! I've also taken a shot at Harvard, Yale, Columbia, NYU and LSE.
By the way, I'm a little concerned that U.Chicago hasn't so far requested my report from LSAC. I wrote Richard Badger about that but I got no answer back. Is anyone in the same situation?
Cheers!
The fact that they have not requested your LSAC report may be a problem. May be there is problem with your LSAC number.?
Did you recieve an application complete mail from Richard Badger? If so, I would'nt worry much.If not, I would call them to clarify this...
Thanks for the tip. I've just re-sent UChicago my inquiry and hopefully it gets answered this time. Otherwise I'll give them a call.
BTW, I've just got Richard Badger's #4 e-mail.
Cheers!

Good luck everybody!!
Cyberlawyer.. when did u send in ur application?
I'm not really sure, actually... :-)
(with all the applications and mail and all, I've lost track of the precise dates)
But I believe it was around the very end of November. I got my "application received" e-mail on December 2.
But I think more important is the date in which your application was completed, as the group e-mail #4 read "I will start with the applications which were completed first back in late October and then move in chronological order by weeks based on the date of completion."
So, I think I will be among the last to hear from them, as my "application complete" e-mail only arrived a few days ago. I had the same problem as centralbanker, because somehow I forgot to write my LSAC number in the paper application (I guess I must have overlooked said field in the form when I had trouble printing it at home and had to type everything back again in the PDF in a public computer to get it printed). After I inquired them, they told me that the lack of my LSAC number was the problem and that they would request LSAC's report. Everything went smoothly then and I got the completion e-mail shortly thereafter.
Best of luck to us all!!

Hey guys.. if any one of you hears from Richard Badger about the decisions.. please let the other know as well.. I am already flipping out..!!
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:15
Atticus, you crack me up! I hope we end up at the same school...
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:17
Lol @ trout_face.. tht should be fun.. aren't u nervous at all?
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:17
me .... too.... keeping fingers crossed....
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:19
I know.. I am really soo nervous. Even though Chicago is not my first choice. But i guess noone really wants to get rejected by a top ten college.. where else have u applied pojo?
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:23
Atticus!
Well, even if I did get in, I'm not sure that I would go there - so that's probably why I'm not totally freakin' out of my mind or anything.
I genuinely hope you get in...keep me posted. My fingers are crossed...

Lol.. So much for going to the same school, troutface.. But that was really sweet of you. You never told me which school was ur first priority.. is it NYU? or Harvard?
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:42
Well, going to the same school is still a possibility - I mean, it turns out Chicago's not your first choice either, right? In an ideal world, I'd love to go to Harvard. But I think that's majorly unlikely! For real, the legal essay I submitted as part of my application was...well, flat out crap. Anyway, after Harvard, I have absolutely no idea - it's totally a toss a coin thing. Maybe I'll wait and find out where you end up going... ;-)
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:44
What a coincidence.. I really don't think I have a chance to get into Harvard as well!! My legal essay was real shit.. I wrote it in such a hurry and under severe time constraints.. So u r right.. Maybe we do have a chance of going to the same school after all.. :)
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:51
I'm joining the "waiting-for-the-decision" club as well! I am nervous because it will be the first school I will be hearing from! Good luck to all of us! : ) btw : I am going to miss those extremely informative e-mails from Richard Badger! If nothing else, he has been very cooperative and funny, unlike many many many other schools!
Posted Feb 02, 2010 20:51
haha, that's so weird, mine was written in a serious hurry as well! As in, I wrote it in 2 days (literally - no dramatic exaggeration or anything) and ended up submitting it like a few hours before the deadline. In a pathetic sort of way, I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one! I thought everyone else spent like a year working on their application essays...at least that's the vibe I get from some people on here. (Sigh), whatever. Whatever will be, will be.

You know something.. i am sure i was one of the last ones to finish my harvard application. I was super stressed and i wrote 2 pages of crap for it. I am just glad the application process is over.. Some of those applications were a pain. Anyway I applied to Harvard on a whim. Was never sure about getting in..

@tota.. when did u get ur application complete mail? And you are right.. richard badger does have a good sense of humor..
