Did any of you also ask them if we could get the decision sooner since the deadline for some other school's deposit is April 1?
No, I didn't even think about that. I nominate you :).

Thanks for the honor! :)
My plan is to have a reasonably relaxed weekend and then email or call them next week, explaining I need my decision before April 1, otherwise, I'm going to have to pay the deposit to the other school.

Thanks for the tip! :) But I was actually under the belief they would respond better to a threat. At this point they drained any and all of my patience.

I agree 100%! I'll try the soft approach. At first. :)

I'll pretend that I am still hanging on to some dignity and wait until next week, but whatever they tell me I'll report it over here.
Does anybody know what was the deadline for the people with scholarships to accept?
Posted Mar 18, 2011 15:39
I heard that the deadline for scholarships was at the end of this week. I'm not sure if it was yesterday or today.
Posted Mar 18, 2011 15:41
I am seriously hoping that someone with an NYU scholarship decided to go to Yale, Stanford...Columbia, perhaps...Oxbridge?
It's unfortunate they haven't heard from Harvard yet. :)

Hope to get a reply (any kind of reply) today.
I don't want to wait anymore, it's so frustrating!
Posted Mar 18, 2011 17:30
Honestly, I dont think we will receive our reply today (but this is just my opinion).
The classes are full now. The only way we might get an admission is if someone dismisses their offer to go to a "better" school.

Why do you think the class is full?
Posted Mar 18, 2011 17:48
I don't know. They would have put us on a wait list in this case or just rejected us (if not good for them).
Uffff : (
Posted Mar 18, 2011 17:48
Yeah, I have the same question as well.
Posted Mar 18, 2011 17:53
The reason I think the classes are full (or practically full) is because the admission process is CLEARLY slowing down. It seems there are very few people who have been accepted in the past three days. However, more seats will become available as students refuse their offer of admission at NYU.
For instance, I heard they had until the 15th of april to accept/dismiss an offer of admission. Thus, after this date more seats will be freed. But that is just my opinion from all the things I've gathered so far.
I believe there might be a few more seats left but very little.

Your reasoning is strong. In fact few of us are on this forum discussing, and on the application tracker I have noticed more or less 50 admitted students. Anyway, what about all the others who have not written on this board or simply are not members of this forum?
Anyway we have to wait.
Posted Mar 18, 2011 18:15
50 on app tracker? This is indeed a considerable number (roughly 12% of the entire LLM class if I am correct).
What slightly puzzels me that many people who are still waiting (I am not referring to myself) seem to have a great track record, i.e. have been admitted to other great schools.
I am not naive (well, sometimes I am), and I know the process is very random. However...is it THAT random?

I'm very inclined to refuse an offer to the Corporate Program. I'll have my decision by early next week.
