I was also granted with a Dean's Graduate Award for US$ 25,000. I understand that it also allows you to attend a special class for grantees and some diners with faculty and other grantees. They gave me until March 23 to accept.

Hello everyone,

I was made an offer by NYU a few days ago and received my welcome pack this morning.

There is no mention in either the welcome letter or in the rest of the welcome pack about any award of financial aid / scholarships. I rang the Law School this morning too and the lady I spoke with there said that if it wasn't included in the pack then I would not have been awarded anything.

I can't really afford $48,000 of tuition for the year and am not particularly keen on taking out a loan for that amount. Any advice? I've also been offered a place at the University of Oxford but that is conditional on obtaining a first, so it is not the end of the world I guess...

Does anyone know if the package arrives at home or to the mail box?

And how many days after admission?

I got admitted this friday afternoon.

Just one question to those of you that got scholarship offers. Was your scholarship mentioned on the admission e-mail or did you find out about it only when you opened up your package?

But @gfloresabc, you confirm that there was no clear indication of whether you had received a scholarship or not in the e-mail, yes? It just said that a decision on scholarship would be informed in the mailed package and there it was, right?

Hi guys! Sorry for not writing before, but I just discovered this thread today. I was offered the full-tuition Vanderbilt Scholarship (deadline: March 19), but I turned it down. I´m going to Columbia, where I was offered a 90% tuition.
Good luck in NYU!

In my case it is a Dean's Award of 25,000 (deadline March 23). But I'm not sure I will accept it. Luckily, Ive got better offers.

Excuse me, would you mind telling how long after you received the admission email did you receive the package?

Thanks.

I notice that a few deadlines are approaching or have passed for NYU scholarship acceptances.

For those of us who are still holding out hope for some left-over scholarship money passed on from those who've declined a place - can anyone who gets any scholarship funding post-admission please let us know?

Also, if you do, can you tell us both the details of your scholarship and your circumstances (ie have you enrolled already, have you notified NYU of competing offers, etc).
