It seems like a lot of people are already accepting the offers, so I echo the clamor that a facebook group be made already? I haven't accepted the offer yet, but barring any other financial considerations I definitely will; I'm just waiting some personal arrangements to be finalized before I can finally commit. I hope to join the group soon!

Hi Perla,
Pug315 and I are starting the facebook group. We'll be able to set it up as soon as we add each other as contacts. Give me your facebook contact details through a private message so we can send you the link. See you!

Gregor and other NYU@NUS alumni,
Can you please throw some light on the profile of the previous batches LLM applicants' and how much impact that played in deciding their future prospects vis a vis securing employment based on grades obtained during the academic year at NYU@NUS?
i.e. Can securing excellent grades in the program give a shooting chance at decent employment or previous experience acts as an overriding or limiting factor?

I plan to apply for College Green Hostel for the summer term, and start looking for other accommodation options during my stay in Singapore. It will be great if we can lease a condo together and share the costs.

So...
As I am still waiting (read - getting tiny heart attacks everytime I get an email) to hear anything I have mastered the following assumptions:
- Based on this forum only those who got somekind of scholarship have been admitted
- The results come on Fridays
- The deadline for accepting is two weeks
- Based on the above next round of offers would be send this and next Friday

If you want to be technical, i received mine Thursday (NY time) and I'm given until Feb 27 to decide. I haven't accepted yet though I'm inclined to do so. I'm just making sure I have sufficient funding for the program..

Goddamit Perlas :D You totally ruined my work. All those hours spent drawing diagrams and tables wasted.

Ooops, so sorry to burst your bubble there. I just wanted to save you from sleepless nights. :P so there, better try not to think about it until after Feb27, I think that's the general deadline given to those who were offered admission in the first round.

It's much easier if you guys send me a request directly through Facebook. For some reason Facebook does not allow me to add people directly that are not on my contact list but it does allow me to add people that send a request.

yanting6058,
I'm thinking of doing exactly the same.
Maybe we should discuss the accommodation (in general) on FB group now that we have one?

Hello - my thoughts below in CAPITALS
Gregor and other NYU@NUS alumni,
Can you please throw some light on the profile of the previous batches LLM applicants' and how much impact that played in deciding their future prospects vis a vis securing employment based on grades obtained during the academic year at NYU@NUS?
IN MY BATCH, MOST STUDENTS HAD 3 - 5 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE. MAJORITY WANTED TO DO WHAT THEY WERE DOING BEFORE ENTERING THE PROGRAM. PERSONALLY, I WOULD SAY PRIOR EXPERIENCE WOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT (BUT PROBABLY BECAUSE I AM AT THE HIGHER END OF THE SPECTRUM IN RELATION TO WORK EXPERIENCE). FOR EXAMPLE, USING GRADES/COURSES TO SWITCH JOB SPECIALISATIONS WAS NOT POSSIBLE (AT LEAST FOR ME, EVEN IF I WAS WILLING TO TAKE AN EXPERIENCE CUT)
i.e. Can securing excellent grades in the program give a shooting chance at decent employment or previous experience acts as an overriding or limiting factor?

Hi guys, I don't know if this has been asked before, I can't seem to find a post about this, but I wanted to ask - I've been offered both the NYU@NUS program and the traditional LNYU LLM, which I think has been offered to other people on here as well. So which one are you guys taking? The scholarship for the NYU@NUS program does make a difference, but I'm still undecided about which offer to accept.
On top of that, I do have offers from Chicago and UPenn among others as well, and still awaiting Columbia and Stanford.
Anybody else facing this dilemna?

Greengills,
Faced the same dilemma, between columbia and nyu@nus. Still undecided.
Depends on how much scholarship you've got from NYU@NUS-I would put that as a major criterion. I've got 25k as the Dean's award and am a bit iffy about the program as a result.
