LSE LLM 2024-25

Creed Brat...

Hi!

Might be early but I thought I’d start a thread for the LSE LLM 2024 intake. How are your applications coming along? I just started working on my personal statement.

Hi! best of luck to everyone. I'm also planning to submit my application as soon as possible, ideally before october ends. Does anybody know if this is too late? Since LSE's offers places on a rolling basis, i don't know if there is an aproximate date after which all places have already been offered to someone.

Just apply as soon as you can. A lot of people do apply in November and December too. So you’re good to go

Hi! I'm planning to apply to LSE but unfortunately, the professor I asked for a LOR has ghosted me... Do you think it will badly hurt my chances if my two LORs come from lecturers as opposed to professors? They know me better than the professor I asked so hopefully it compensates in a way.

For context, the two lecturers I'm planning to ask for LOR know me better than the professor I initially asked and I did legal research and mock trial for their classes.

Not sure…I was fortunate to have my course director teach me a subject, and he was more than willing to write an LOR for me. I guess as long as your lecturers can comment on your academic ability, it should be fine. The more personal, the better.

My application was processed on October 20 - should I expect results until December 15?

Just sent my application in. Anyone have any ideas what the selection rate is versus the Oxbridge MJur/LLM programs? I’d be happy with selections at any of them (or Edinburgh) but I’m guessing there is a dramatic differences between them.

Can my CV be 3 pages long? Also is it okay to get a professional LOR or will that hurt my chances?

any info about when will a waitlisted candidate be brought back for reconsideration practically? Waitlist is a real torture.

I guess being wait listed is a good sign. You are a good candidate but they may want to see more of the application pool before making a decision. I havent heard anything back even though my application was processed on Oct 11…
