NYU LLM 2019-2020 Applicants

I just received a $15k dean’s graudate award. Not too generous, and I now have to think harder whether to enroll.

me too.

Do you think we can still get the Hauser Scholarship too?

Hauser seems difficult at this stage, but I'm hoping NYU will bump us up if people above us reject their scholarship offers in favour of Harvard/Yale/Stanford/Columbia, etc.

Are you sure they have an order to give the scholarships? How do you know?

Got an email saying that NYU is not able to offer any scholarship in my case and that I should inform them by 18. April whether I will enroll or not.
Oh well, #thankyounext

Same. Save for that I have to confirm enrolment by 8 April.

Hi, is there anyone here that has enrolled and paid the deposit but has not received the student ID yet? And for those who have received the student ID, how long does it takes since you confirmed your enrollment?

I don't know. But the fact is that some people already got admitted from taxation or international taxation program of NYU. I suppose the rejection (or admission) notice would be delivered in one or more weeks according to withdrawal of admitted people.

Anyone still waiting for a decision on the Traditional LLM?? I am confused about the way NYU handles its admission process. I know they are aware that many schools have the 1st April deadline. Wouldn't it be fair that we know the fate of our applications before the 1st April. After all, it is either you are in, out or waitlisted. So why keep some of us waiting?

Me!

Agreed. It's frustrating. I have been accepted to other 9 schools, but NYU used to be my top choice. I couldn't wait for them to make up their mind about my application (which was submitted on Nov19 and completed on Nov22), so I'm off to Northwestern.

At least by now they should have a clear picture of their Applicant pool and send out their decisions to them. NYU is not HYS for which may be worth this long wait. They have to reconsider their admission process going forward. In any event I am not short of options. So I can still wait

Also frustrated and waiting for a response ...
Just to be sure though, NYU's applicant online checker doesn't show the current state of the application, does it?

Mine only shows:
- Term: Fall
- Year: 2019
- Degree: Traditional FT
- Program Time: Full Time

Is that what everyone has ?

Im doing the same. NYU was my first choice, but I feel let down for not receiving an answer. I would have rather if they had waitlisted me... So I guess I will see you in Chicago.
