Harvard LLM 2013-2014

to LLm in time, are all your recommenders had submitted an online recommendation? if it does, then you can not really see it in the track status. you can instead check the submission of the online recom on the "recommendation" form above the "payment" portion.

hope this info helps and relieve your tension there .. good evening!

Dear ladyjustice,

Thanks for the comment. In fact, all of my Recommenders upload the letters, and it is properly shown "Received" by mid November. This is good news.

=> Regarding LSAC, should I expect Harvard to ask them for a Report?

you are welcome llm.in.time. as to your second question, what kind of report are you referring that will be expected to be received by Harvard from LSAC? is it the online recom? or other documents?

just be calm as long as HLS Committee doesn't require anything docs to be submitted anymore, your apps is fine and presumably complete. they will ask you anyhow if they find that there are some missing docs or anything in your apps...

just hold on and smile ...

have a nice day!

he..he..he.. in God's time and blessing, i am praying that we'll see each other in HLS he..he..he.. Let us always pray... lllm.in.time.

As to IRINA LAW, have you stated in your application when you took the exam so that HLS will know when are they expecting it in case you haven't stated it yet before?
i think it will be a disadvantage to submit a late TOEFL score compared to other applicants who have had their TOEFL reports sent on time. but don't lose hope, just give it a try to submit it ... we'll never know...

IRINA LAW, when are you going to receive your TOEFL? as soon as you received it, sent it to them immediately, of course, thru TOEFL, to make it official. Good luck!

I am expecting it to be posted within this week. So, it will take another week for the schools to get the new score. I am so worried that i may be late. (((
Thanks for the comment. )

i think if you listed HLS as one of the recipient of your TOEFL score when you took the exam, it will automatically be sent thru them without waiting for another week once the result of the toefl is released. if you haven't listed it, then you can place an "order" from the toefl administrator that HLS will be included in the list of the recipient schools of your toefl score. in that case, you will have to pay another bunch of money... you don't have to wait for another week that you are worrying about.

I am going to request ETS to send it directly to Harvard Law as soon as my score is available, but i was thinking that as long as the score report is being mailed to them, it usually takes a week or so, thats what ETS representatives told me.

I tried about two weeks ago, but they told me to keep waiting.

I recently spoke to a Barrister who went to Harvard a few years ago and she told me that the best time to ask for an expedited decision is in the first or second week of March. You're likely to get an expedited response by that time.

But since I've gotten extensions of my other offers, I'm just going to wait until all the decisions come out now.

Hi soso14886, I'm intrigued as to the reason that you gave when you asked for an extension. Would you like to share? Thanks.

My reasons were quite straightforward: I have other offers with financial aid that wil expire - should I wait for Harvard? The response I got was: ask for extensions. So that's what I did.

Hey everyone!

I just noticed that HLS sent its admissions decisions, for the last three years, on the before-last Monday of March (i.e., 19 March 2012, 21 March 2011 and 22 March 2010). Which would bring us, for 2013, to March 18th.

I did not follow the discussions much (and sorry if it's a repeat question) but I was wondering whether you already know HLS's admissions' date or if there is, indeed, a rule by virtue of which the decisions are sent on the 3rd Monday of March..

Good luck to all,
Cheers!

Hey! I have also seen that parttern from past years threads.. I dont think there is a rule but a custom... but the odds are that they will probably send out decisions by 18th March.... because, the following Monday is easter...

This is a bit random, but has anyone else received an email from Harvard strongly encouraging you to apply for certain external scholarships? I received an email along these lines a couple of weeks ago - the email expressly stated that the fact they were sending it to me was no indication I had or would be accepted, but I can't help wonder what it means....

I received the exact same email also a couple of weeks ago, but I do think this means nothing.

On other matters, has anyone sent an email expressing that some other deadlines are about to expire? I remember reading that the best timing for doing so was between the first and send week of March.
