Do they inform the acceptance or rejection by e-mail?

Sorry - I have been posting in the 'Tax' section. They inform students by mail only - Fedex if you have been accepted and, I believe, Airmail if you have not made it.

Are applicants who do not make it passed on to the regular cycle?

Should I assume then that if I got in I should be reciving the communication rather quickly and if I didn´t it will take a while longer?

My status changed to "DECISION" on Dic. 12th! I love in South America. When should I expect to recive the letter?

Man, mine changed on the 12th as well... Anxiously looking out the window whether the post or Fedex is on the way every five minutes...

I assume all of you applied early action?? I was told that international students have to apply regular action so as to be considered for one of the scholarships available to us. Is this true?? I sincerely hope not be because i applied early action and got my acceptance yesterday...

Nothing yet... But am in the library for the whole day today. Am hoping that when I get back to my apartment I'll find a note from Fedex that they tried to deliver something... Or worse, I might find a rejection letter in the mailbox... :(

Surprisingly....I got an admission email from GULC at Sat, Dec 20, 2008 at 6:07 AM (Their time). That means they must have been working around the clock to convey good news to many applicants.

So... keep checking emails even on the weekend!

If you've read other posts, you will see that some people got an admission email as well... so you might want to check with GULC whether they will send admission notification only by mail or both mail and email.

My status changed around Dec 14 or 15. I don't know if the package will be sent by FedEx or air mail. The admission email only says:

"...You should have received, or will soon be receiving, in the mail a package containing your acceptance letter, along with some information about the campus and life as a student here..."

That email should be to all admitted students. I (and some of the admitted students I know) also got that email although I received the admission package on 10th Dec via fedex. Therefore I think those who have yet received emails from them are either deferred or rejected, and the airmail should be on the way.
