I guess admissions are done for another week? Anyone receive theirs later in the day EST?

Hi, guys. Just received my admission email for the International Legal Studies LL.M!!! Could you confirm that decisions on financial aid are usually released a few days after the admission?

I know Georgetown has a rolling admissions cycle and according to their '6-10 week' window I still have a couple of weeks to go since I applied on January 21st, but just wanted to know how long they took for you?

I applied on December 27 and all the documents were processed on January 3. I also had an interview with the Assistant Dean on February 28 and got admitted on March 10. I am sure they will let you know in the coming weeks.

Congratulations to all the admitted students! Have been admitted to the General LL.M program. But havent heard anything regarding financial assistance/scholarships.

Any update/info about it?

For those interested in scholarships, I think it is very beneficial to send an email to the Gtown Graduate Admissions email address stating why Gtown is your first choice for next year and why the choice is hard due to financial difficulties. This was the truth for me, as I had to turn down a job offer to attend Gtown next year, so I called admissions and stated that I wanted to attend Gtown, but it would be very hard for me to justify paying the full tuition next year instead of having an incoming salary. The admissions officer stated that I should put everything I said to her in writing and email it to the Grad Admissions email address, so that those statements could be considered by the scholarship committee. I did what she said, got a nice response email, and did end up receiving some money. I don't know if my email was the difference maker, but its worth a shot...

May I ask if someone has turned down his or her offer from Georgetown? If someone received a better offer from other universities and has already decided not to attend GULC programs, refusing its offer before April 1st might be helpful for those who are still waiting for financial aid disclosure

Yes, they write a handwritten note on every admission letter.

In all? I knew they did that in other universities but not in all. In GU they do in all armissions letters?
