Thank you very much everyone for your kind answers. Does anyone know on what receiving an answer would depend (either admitted or rejected)? Is it just random that some people have received an answer before others? I know that on the CLS website it says that the date of submission has nothing to do with the date of responses, so I wonder what factors receiving a response (i.e having your application reviewed) depends on...

Still wondering about this :/ ... Has anyone heard any news?

Hi! Received my acceptance to Columbia LLM via email at 3:35 p.m. EST.

Applied December 18
Application Complete January 9
Accepted February 21

No worries if you have not heard back - I called a few weeks ago and admissions said that they accept students through early April. Only applied to CLS and NYU (no word yet), but was told if I received admission from another school, they would expedite my application review. Wanted to pass that along in case any have been accepted elsewhere but need to know about your CLS application. Good luck to everyone waiting!

Thank you for your answer! Anyone here whose application has been marked as complete on January 28, who has received a response (accepted or rejected)?
Seems that the applications marked as complete on Jan 28 were the last batch to be checked, it might be a long time before an answer...

I'm losing my hopes :P

Same here, but my application was marked complete on 11/22/19. I wrote today to Graduate Legal Studies (following Stephie's advice, thanks!) and they replied that applications were reviewed on a rolling basis and that if I was accepted in other programs and still haven't heard from CLS one week before my earliest deadline, I could send them copies of the acceptance letters of the other programs so they could expedite their answer.

I hope this helps!

Today there was a webinar session for already accepted LL.M students, where Dean Polo said that the admission committee will be reviewing applications for 4-5 more weeks, and told us the following: "tell your friends who haven't heard from us that it is because probably we haven't got the opportunity to read their applications yet, but we'll do our best to do it as soon as we can".

So, great news for everyone who hasn't had any news yet!

For those who already got admitted, she told us that probably this week they are going to start reviewing scolarship applications.

Best of lucks to all of you!

Thank you for informing us of the message from Dean Polo. We hope to hear from them soon. If indeed the applications are on a rolling basis, might it not be prejudicial to have those already accepted have their scholarship applications reviewed before the rest? I thought all applications should be reviewed then scholarship applications considered thereafter.

Thanks for all the information. Good to know.

Has anyone had any news from Columbia? (acceptance/rejections, and deferred students?)

Thanks for the info! The wait is killing me.

Has anyone noticed if there is a trend of the day in which CLS sends out decisions?? (i.e. decisions are sent out every thursday/friday) or does anyone have any insight or clues on whether we are going o be accepted or not?

hahahah Im going crazyyyy here

None at all! Columbia has literally no trend, they send decisions randomly. Trust me I have done my homework and analysis on this! Equally crazy as you hahahaha!

I got accepted yesterday and my application was complete on 17 January. I’m from South Africa and I heard that they might make decisions for regions at a similar time but it may also be totally random. Good luck!

I relate to this, so much. It's worse as a deferred student hanging around for a decision from the end of December.

Well not so much of a difference for regular review folks like me too! We are waiting since December end too! But I can certainly understand your pain! All I’d say is hang in there.
