Is it just random that some people have received an answer before others? I know that on the CLS website it says that the date of submission has nothing to do with the date of responses, so I wonder what factors receiving a response (i.e having your application reviewed) depends on...

I applied in a regular review - on the 18th of December, app complete 22nd or 23rd of January, a decision today 18th of February 11pm GMT +1 time.

Congratulations!! So you got it yesterday? Did you see any change in your portal and also, did u apply in early review? thanks for the info
The email was sent on Feb 17 US time which is early morning Feb 18 China time. I didn't apply for early review, although my application was marked as completed as early as the mid of Nov. Document checklist in my portal is blank now (I am sure it was not blank the day before the admission email).
By the way, i saw from the admitted student portal that they enrolled 300 students last year.

I was too busy at that time and didn't want to rush my application. I am working in a law firm.

I got into Cornell so a no from columbia is not a big deal.
