I applied in the regular cycle, yes. I received an email with the link to the admitted students website, but no dates. Haven't received my mail package yet. To quote their email, "We hope to make financial aid decisions soon and will notify you as soon as we have made a decision on your application. At that time we will also let you know when your tuition deposit will be due."

Not sure when they plan on doing this.

I also applied in the regular cycle, and heard back in late January that I was accepted. My acceptance email also had the same wording as Greengills's email, and the package which arrived a few days later also said the same thing. It took them about a month to come back to me with their financial aid decision and they have given me until 25 March to accept.

Hi! It arrived about 2 business days later, which was impressive since I live on the other side of the world! I suspect you won't need to wait a month - it probably took them a while to get back to me because they sent me an offer early and so they may have wanted to wait to see the quality of other applicants before deciding about financial aid.

I have not heard anything from CLS yet, since january 10th.
I wrote to them yesterday because they requeired me to send my grades for the fall as soon as they become available, and they answer right away but nothing regarding to the admission.
I am really worry, should I write them back again?

Hi, it's understandable - we are all worried. But we might not hear for another month and I think maybe wait it out. I haven't heard anything either - and I applied really early. We will hear eventually.. and hopefully with good news :)

Hi guys - I have a discussion topic for those already admitted and considering options. I have been accepted at Columbia and NYU. My background is in international law/human rights and I am finding it quite difficult to distinguish between the two programs in this field. Is anyone else facing the same dilemma? I feel NYU has a more impressive faculty, although Columbia makes up for that with its options for fellowships/externships/etc, and a little more prestige for whatever that's worth. Thoughts anybody? :)

Sent Columbia a request for expedited review today, and just a minute ago got an e-mail telling me I was rejected :-)

I am a little bit upset, but I have other options.

For what it's worth, I guess it's better to know. I still couldn't gather enough courage to mail them but I think I ll as well ask them for an expedited review! Hope your other applications go well for you!

Btw, does anyone know when the holidays are at Columbia?? I guess they ll have to finishn the process before it or do you think they might just suspend it until after the holidays?
