Sent Columbia a request for expedited review today, and just a minute ago got an e-mail telling me I was rejected :-)
I am a little bit upset, but I have other options.
Good luck everyone.
Oh that is sad(( i am scared really, but do you have any idea when they will start sending decisions??

I continue to think that we are in some (very large) way wait listed and therefore that we won't know anything from Columbia before Harvard, Stanford or Yale notify their decisions.
ps - Anyone applying from France got a positive answer ?

Yes. I thought that... I was just checking. You know how tough it is to wait for those decisions...

Because they don't seem to have released a single decision in the last two and a half week, so either they are really in a rolling basis, and working very very slow, either they are waiting for the answer of the first offers they made. Simple guess though !

You have to send it to gls@law.columbia.edu and attach your offer of admission from the other school.
Good luck.

Hey!
I do also think that we are on some kind of waiting list and that they are waiting for some deadlines to expire. But I believe that we'll have some decisions at the end of this week before the holidays (maybe just wishful thinking)!
Btw, the ones who got admitted earlier on, could you tell us the deadline for your acceptance??It could indicate the date when they ll release new decisions.

Many thanks for the answers!
So i think the decisions will probably be released after the spring break, ie after March 22th! And I have the impression that CLS releases decisions mainly on Fridays (probably to prevent people from calling without thinking first =)) or, at the earliest, on Thursdays, which will put the release date around 29th mArch!
I am really tired of waiting; hence all this (useless) fortune telling activity! SFS
good luck and bon courage for the wait ;)

Hi guys, I submitted my application the day before deadline and received the "application complete" email on Feb. 1.
Yesterday I received an email from the admissions committee asking for some further information. This email begins with "Upon an initial review of your application"... It was just an "initial" review! So I guess it still takes some days for them to decide many ppl's applications.

Hello everyone:
I have some deadlines coming in a couple of days and wanted to ask for an expedite decision from CLS. I remember reading some posts that stated that when other people asked for it, they got a response within the next couple of days but, unfortunately, the response was a rejection.
Do you guys know of anyone that submitted a similar request and actually received an admission letter?
I don't want to risk sending the request if it will interfere in any way with obtaining a positive rather than a negative result.
Some feedback in this regard would be very much appreciated.

I remember seing someone in this thread that asked for an expedite decision and was admitted, but i am not sure.
I have no other option at this moment, so coincidently I was just now drafting an e-mail to Columbia asking for an expedite decision...
Indeed I hope it does not harm my admission...fingers crossed!!

Best of luck for those still waiting!

Thanks a lot! Well, if you are going for it, best of luck and please, do let us know what the outcome is.
I think monday at the latest I am going to be forced to do the same thing so, we are in for the same treat.
Thanks again!

Congrats to all those who have been accepted. Anyone apply for the Human Rights Fellowship and heard anything? Got an offer for Michigan and need to make decisions.
Cheers from South Africa!
