Berkeley admissions

I've been admitted to Georgetown and Berkeley, still waiting for NYU but there isn't much hope...

I want to study antitrust law and litigation. I think Berkeley is a great choice because of its class size, nice weather, friendly people. But Georgetown has a distinguished faculty in the field of antitrust. Prf. Howard Shelanski has moved to Georgetown from Boalt Hall.
Does anyone have suggestions for me?

I got rejected and so sad cause Berkeley was my first choice.

By the way, they emailed me with a little (in my thoughts) hopeful or weird words for next year llm.

"If UC Berkeley School of Law remains your first choice you may wish to consider reapplying for the 2011-2012 academic year."

What does this mean ? If I reapply, then can I possibly get admission next year? or this is just their polite way of rejection?

and, are there any one waitlisted?

Thank you and congrat to all admitted applicants.

I just read on the admitted students website that LLM students are not graded on the curve with JP students.
"Because of the language barrier faced by most LL.M. students, it is the law school's policy that LL.M. students are NOT graded on the curve with J.D. students"

I think I read somewhere that we had to be graded on the same curve to be able to take a State Bar. Does that mean that we can't take the bar exam?

I am in too, just received the admission, deadline for me is April the 5th.

I am from Italy, born and raised near Bologna but working in Milan. Got admission offer also from Duke, NU and USC with scholarship

Which is the best between Duke and BERKELEY for corporate and business law?

Thanks

I am in the same situation. What do you think that does it mean?

I think I am going to call the admissions office today to see what is going on. Did either of you apply thesis track?

I have a question to make. The rejection from Berkeley University is final? I mean in case some applicants withdraw their application and extra places are left open, is it possible for a rejected applicant to get admission?

Guys, just keep in mind the admission's office will not work during Spring break (next week). So, there will be no one to answer to emails or to phone calls.

Don't worry. Being graded on a separate curve brings no adverse consequences to your eligibility to the bar exam.
