get offered from Berkeley law !!!
Ura!!!!!!!!!!!!
Berkeley Law better then UPENN, and Georgetown !!!
misleading comment - Berkeley is ok for IP, internet, entertainemet and other stuff.
UPenn is way above berkeley in what regards corporate / business. BTW - East Coast rules in finance - IB/PE and VC.

Congrats to you all!
I am in too, just received the admission, deadline for me is April the 5th.
I am from Italy, born and raised in Bologna but working in Milan. Got admission offer also from NYU.
Which is the best between NYU and BERKELEY for banking and finance law?
Thanks & cheers

Madeinitaly,
congrats on your admission! I got admitted too :)
NYU is great for finance and you should pick it if you really want to do it. I have a friend right now specialising in Corporate and FInance masters and she is enjoying it.
Berkeley is great for IP, tech and venture cap areas. So if those are not the areas your interested in then u should pick NYU.
But..u should know size matters! NYU is HUGE, it takes a lot of LLM students - 400s I think. And berkeley is only 135. So u get an intimate experience unlike any other...smaller classes, closer contact to professors etc.
So its up to you! Im picking Berkeley so I hope to see ya!

Has anyone received a rejection email? Anyone a US applicant?

Congratulations to all of those admitted in Berkeley!
I am a current student at the LLM program and I do recommend Berkeley not only for IP, high tech, environmental law or ventural capital transactions, but also for corporate law and securities regulation.
I am a corporate lawyer and I am pretty sure the level of education we receive here in business law is at least the same as NYU, Columbia, Chicago, UPenn, Northwestern, and others.
Moreover, we've been talking to the admission office and your class (2010-2011) shall benefit from an easier procedure to enroll at some major classes offered by Haas Business School within the LLM without extra fees.
Just to mention some outstanding faculty in business law, take a look at Berkeley Law page for the profiles of Eric Talley, Eric Finseth, Donna Petkanics, Mauro Rosatti, Michael Cypers, Robert Bartlett III and Michael Bamberger.
Berkeley is amazing and I'm sure you'll all love to live in the Bay area!
