The standard admission email is sent to all applicants. Professor Guzman is part of the admissions committee and the people in the office send the email, not Professor Guzman directly!
The email is either sent by Stephanie, Erin at the admissions office and it is the same acceptance letter to all applicants!
That's correct. However, the letter is signed by Professor Guzman (sent from llm@law.berkeley.edu).

Dear all,
I received an admission mail from Professor Guzman this morning! :) I'm thrilled - especially since I was reading this thread rather enviously last evening thinking my chances at admission looked pretty bleak!
FYI, I'm from India and have had three years of professional experience.
Best,
G

Received the admittance email last night. However, I will most likely give up my spot in the next few days.

Although 3 admission offers in row made me confident about Berkeley, I got my first rejection. What a bad feeling!

Sorry to hear Stagista, it may be a blessing in disguise because we will just have to see each other at Harvard instead!!

hope so. berkeley was perhaps the program that better fit my studies, but Harvard is a life-long dream...I'd love to freeze myself in Cambridge next year

Stagista, Wolla, Grugani et al. I was just wondering where all of you who heard from Berkeley in this latest round of decisions are from? I saw that one was from China and one from India...just trying to get an idea if they are making decisions on a regional basis!

I don't think so, since I'm from Scandinavia :)

Italian...that also means some other fellow italians (with better resume) got into Berkeley...sure they deserve it more, but I regret anyway...

Still no decision for me...*shrug*
Seems like I will have to wait for the "third wave".

Still waiting on a decision as well. I guess we will probably hear next friday. I think our chances of getting a place are low, however, given that so many offers seems to have gone out already. We must be the borderline applicants!

look at the bright side, you were not rejected... borderline, but in the game.

I also believe we're placed on some sort of internal waitlist that will see us eventually in or out depending on how many of the admitted will accept admission.
