Hi Debora.
I am from Brazil.
I sent my application in November and I got my admission letter in December.
Good luck!
Anyone admitted to UF LLM in Tax or in International Tax ?

Hi Every body. Finally I was admitted last week (I applied on December). I am from Chile and I think it would be very helpful to be in contact by e mail.

Does anyone know if UF sends confirmation when your application becomes complete like NYU and GT does? Thanks.

UF is a public unviersity so they aren't quite as efficient as the private schools.
To check on your application contact Trudy Reid @ 352/273-0680 or Reid@law.ufl.edu
She is the Graduate Tax Admissions Officer and she is really helpful -- she assisted both my boyfriend and I with our applications.

Hi everyone! I was accepted into UF LLM Tax last week. I'm still on the fence about going. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about UF's job stats. I'm nervous about spending more money to go to school and not be able to find a job!!! What do you guys think?

How did everyone find out?
One person told me through mail
Another told me through email
I have not heard anything back and I am getting worried

Linked --
I knew a girl last year who wasnt accepted into UF until May, even though she sent her app in early. I think that they do a few rounds of acceptance, and March was the first round.
I do wish that these LLM-Tax programs would list some statistics so we could gauge what are chances would be.

Hi there!
Deboracorreabh and I talked with msn messenger yesterday.
We will attend the LL.M. in Internation Taxation at the UF together this year.
It was really nice talking to her.
I would like organize a network of people who are going to the UF tax programs.
Please click on "P.M." to send me a personal message and tell me your name, msn account and program you are going to attend.
I will add you to our network.
Let exchange information and communicate with each other before meeting there!
Thank you!!

I got rejected by UF on Tuesday but was invited to "request reconsideration" of my application. Do any of you know what the chances are of getting in if you do this?
Posted Apr 15, 2008 17:40
Apparently you still have a chance for being reconsidered for admission (I assume this year), so it should be fine if you know why you've been rejected at first place..
Do you have any idea about the reason for rejection? Experience?Grades?Motivation not matching UF's standards?

All they told me was I did not meet their criteria for admission as "described in the Admissions section of the Graduate Tax Program catalog." I'm not really sure what those standards are or if I did know I have forgotten. I got two strong letters of rec sent with my letter to request reconsideration so hopefully that will help. I don't have great grades but I come from a very high ranked school so I thought that would be enough to get in.
