All they told me was I did not meet their criteria for admission as "described in the Admissions section of the Graduate Tax Program catalog." I'm not really sure what those standards are or if I did know I have forgotten. I got two strong letters of rec sent with my letter to request reconsideration so hopefully that will help. I don't have great grades but I come from a very high ranked school so I thought that would be enough to get in.
I am surprised I haven't gotten a rejection letter to be honest
My grades are quite average and I come from a Tier 2 Law School but my recommendations were strong and my resume (Worked at IRS, Tax-Firm, etc...) is very solid
I just want a decision either way. I am tired of waiting and sooner or later I need to make plans on where I will be spending the next year of my life and hopefully longer
