It's very strange that they aren't releasing all the decisions on the same day isn't it?

I can only assume that they're doing rejections first (since we haven't heard of any offers...has anyone?!).

I know how you feel with the suspense; I guess all we have is hope!

It seems like quite a lot of MLF offers have gone out, but no sign of any for the BCL. I suppose we can relax for the weekend though, seriously doubt anyone is working in the office on Saturday/Sunday. Maybe Monday will be the day! :)

does anybody know how many students are accepted from the MJur and BCL each year. It is mentioned on the website that it's about 150 combined, but does anybody know about each one of them seperately?

How do you know your rejection was based on first year grades? Seeing as they don't contribute to the over-all degree classification, I doubt it would have that much influence.

Maybe it's not but got top 1st in 2nd year, 1st in every individual module as well, my essay might have been it i suppose but it won an essay prize , the only shit part of my application I can think of is the 66 in first year. Maybe they prefer like 5 years experience in a law firm or bank or something.
At Bristol not many people get 1sts in first year tho so maybe your right

And the LsE person said about "68 in 1st year" so I thought they were saying that's why they didn't get in like they'd asked or something

Hmm this sounds similar to my application, no 1st in 1st year but one of the top 1sts in 2nd year. Ugh!

Guys, all I can say is I know someone who got a 2.2 in first year, low-mid 2.1 in second and graduated with a first. Took a year out during which he applied for the BCL and got in.

I wouldn't worry too much about what other people have done and whether or not they got in; it goes on so much more. Ranking, SoP, Essay, CV, References (possibly the biggest part?) all play their own part.

Out of interest, to the people who have been decline, were many for the BCL?

Mmm. Oh well. I should probably say quickly that like...you've all done really well in your undergraduate degrees; I really wouldn't be too disappointed by not getting in for a BCL!

(I know i'll probably cry when I don't get in, but still!)

I've had absolutely no contact with anyone from Oxford since after submitting my application, so I'm waiting on pins and needles. Hearing from people's rejections on here is frightening me, especially after reading their profiles, mine isn't even half as good.

Just out of curiosity towards those who've been rejected thus far: did you submit and complete your application really early on? Like October/November time? Because then it would make sense that the people who applied earlier are hearing first.

Well, I suggest everyone stay strong because BCL/MJur/MLF or not, you've got brilliant profiles and success is definitely in your futures, irrespective of a year at Oxford!
