LSE - LLM 2014/2015 Applicants

Was anyone else informed of decisions made by LSE ?

My application was complete on the 16 October. Being one of the first applicants to apply, I have not yet received a decision. However, I regard this as a good thing, given that other applicants have already been rejected.

When did you receive a fourth email that your second reference was received?

On the 28th October.

then it was completed on the 28th of october so you should receive a decision in about 8 weeks from the 28th of oct, so probably by the end of this month

Most decisions that LSE sends in December are rejections (looked at past-posts on this forum). Those who are on the offer or waiting list will get an answer in January; but this doesn't mean that you can't get a rejection in January.

It doesn't really matter, my application was complete in november so I will not get a decision in december, this doesn't mean I will be accepted, it all depends on when your application was completed

That's good to know - I heard of rejections being handed out already, and I didn't get one yet, so I guess I can keep my chin up ! To anyone who cares - I submitted my application on Tuesday 22 October, it was downloaded the next day on Wednesday 23 October. My referees had already submitted their references and had them accepted before this, as I opened my account and gave referee details when the application portal opened the week before. All my documents were approved and received the week I submitted, but they said it should take at least 8 weeks for a decision.

What did everyone elect as a specialism, and why? Also, do you think that this is a significant factor which admissions considers?

I want to the legal theory LLM--LSE is the obvious choice for me given it's focus on the humanities etc etc etc

I received the fourth email around the last week of October. Don't remember the exact date.
The condition says pass your degree with a first class and also obtain a final average overall of 60%.

Yes - I graduated from my basic law degree last summer. I have eight months experience, and this year I'm sitting solicitor exams in Ireland.

I'd like to ask you guys something.
On the Application Tracker page, my section Status of Application says "Your application is held pending further preliminary documentation... Your files cannot be released to the Selector until all the required documentation has been processed" even though all my required supporting documents in the Documentation section are checked as "received".
To my understanding, is it true that they will re-check all the supporting documents again and confirm their receipt of those documents? And then the status of my application will be changed to something like "All supporting documents received" right?
I'm quite concerned because I got the forth email from them 5 days ago and my application status is still held "pending further preliminary documentation". I'm afraid that my application won't be accessed until they get all the documents.
