I think its the fourth email. My fourth email states that your application is complete so i am counting the 8 week period from that fourth email.

Almost 10 weeks and still no reply. I just want them to decide either way. I cant wait anymore.
I understand. In fact, I am in the same situation as you are; I received my fourth mail on 28 October and still no decision. LSE officials have told me that the eight week timeframe is for guidance only, so I will not suggest that you contact them. However, they did imply that I will receive a decision by no later than the end of the month.
If it helps, LSE has not ruled us out, as otherwise they would have rejected us a long time ago.

To those who were accepted,
Do you receive an e-mail informing you that you have been accepted/rejected, or do you have to keep checking LSE For You?
I am kinda fed up with checking every 2 hours.

I've checked it and when I did the status for my application was changed into " We are pleased....". 2-3 hours later got an email stating the same thing under the "status tab" and 1 week later I've received the offer letter/pack by post.

Sorry for the dumb question:
At what moment does one start to count? The fourth e-mail, or the last Further Documentation Received mail, or other criteria?
Hey! Usually the 8 weeks start counting once they have received all documentation. So, if you receive the 4th email, but,, for example, your references take a month to complete the recommendations, the 8 weeks start a month after the 4th email.
They will send you an email saying you have been accepted. There is no need to check constantly.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to upload references instead of using the embark system? my referee seems to be awol and doesnt respond to my mails, but I got a signed reference letter from him before.
Posted Jan 23, 2014 10:54
hey man i guess the answer is no and it is plainly stated that references must be uploaded directly through the LSE system. And, if your first referee does not respond i guess you should find another one more prompt !
