My status is still under review by the Department. Is it a bad thing? I am extremely nervous now!

SAME! I keep refreshing the page after every few minutes.

Me too!! But I think as long as they don't send a rejection email, there's still a chance.

I think it is too early to panic as only two people confirmed that their status had been updated.

I opened my account sometime between 8 and 9 am GMT today, and it still said under review by department then. Sometime between 10 and 11 am GMT, that's when my account said it's awaiting approval from the GAO. That means my portal wasn't updated when my application went through the degree committee stage from the departmental stage. So for those still waiting for movement in their portals, it's possible that your applications are already with the degree committee and they just didn't update your portals.

Also, the admissions website says that the GAO approximately takes ten days to approve an application. If your applications move to GAO tomorrow, tomorrow's only the tenth day before March 1 which is the target date for Cambridge to release all decisions. I would say that the ten-day period is only the maximum turn-around time, it could take less than that. So, don't fret if you don't get any movement in your account just yet. :)

Best of luck to all of us!!

No worries! The waiting game's the most agonizing part of the application process. Let's try to attract as much good karma as we can while we're all suspended in limbo haha!

After pressing the "refresh"-button 1000 times during this afternoon I was updated at 5.26 pm (GMT) to "Awaiting approval by GAO - Awaiting approval by the Central Graduate Admissions Office." as well. So, having no answer yet does not mean anything.

Congrats! That's good to know. I've also been refreshing the portal an indecent number of times this afternoon but I'm still at department review. Fingers crossed.

Just checked the portal and am also awaiting GOA approval.

For the conspiracy theorists- I submitted the day applications were due and am in the top third of the alphabet (first and last names).
