Cambridge LL.M. 2014 - 2015 Applicants

I was rejected last year. I was working on my application during this year, tidied it up, got a higher IELTS score and just a minute ago my status changed to 'offer made'. Currently floating on cloud nine.

Good luck guys and never give up!

Congrats! How many days after getting to the BoGS stage did you get the offer?

omnomnom I am so happy for you! I can remember reading some your posts on last year's forum and hoping that you'd got in. Would you mind sharing some of your thoughts regarding improving the application? I am trying to stay positive and focus on next year's application :)

Hey, any updates received by french applicants?

Hi everyone,

I'm a French applicant and my status changed to "awaiting consideration from the BoGS" last friday and I got an offer yesterday. I guess that the other Frenchies should see their application status change soon if it hasn't already changed.

Best of luck!

Hey,

Conditional offer made this afternoon. Conditions: 1) pass in master's degree, 2) TOEFL/IELTS, 3) transcripts, 4) acceptance of offer, 5) financial undertaking, 6) college membership.

Now I'm facing a super-huge problem - I'm also a principal candidate for the Foreign Fulbright scholarship and I have been accepted by couple of top 20 US law schools (non T-14 though). So here's the dilemma: Fulbright + "X" US university for free vs. Cambridge (!) with 20k GBP debt.

By the way, my TOEFL was 103. Should I try to retake and go for the Cambridge, or is it better to stick with the Fulbright and not so well-know American universites. Any opinions? :)

P.S. I'm from Eastern Europe.
P.S.S. Also waiting for the Oxford's MJur.

If I were in your position I'd take Fulbright and top 20 - the weight of a full, prestigious, internationally known scholarship would win out for me because of the CV benefit.

No idea about the TOEFL issue though.

Congratulations!!

I would also be interested in knowing what you have to say about improving your application, if you don't mind sharing :)

Thank you for your response! It will be a very tough decision either way because Cambridge by itself would be a huge benefit even without a scholarship.

Nope, I hope for a clear answer today. An offer or rejection.

Does somebody know if my status will change tomorrow (like, how does there system work?)?

My status has changed again, but this time to: "Application awaiting approval by BGS". How is this different from "Awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies"?

Last week, many peoples statuses changed on Saturday. Absolutely possible we will get more changes of that sort tomorrow. Best of luck to those still waiting!
