Hi, new to the discussion. Could you clarify what do you mean by in case one's eligible. Does it mean if one is not eligible, one does not receive the scholarship email?

I have just noticed that the status of my LLM application at the Application Portal is updated. Now it says "Awaiting approval by GAO - Awaiting approval by the Central Graduate Admissions Office." I hope this is good news.

For the LLM program, my last name starts with A, and my application status changed to "under review" in early January, before anyone else in here. So, my guess is that they review the applications alphabetically even though I submitted my application just hours before the deadline.

Hi everyone from Chile! I received an offer from LSE last week (I applied to LSE on December 2nd) and I'm still waiting for a decision from Cambridge and Oxford. My application status is "under review by the department" and my last name starts with G.

Of course. If you are only considering the previous year and the year before that, you are absolutely right. However, that was not the case for the years before that. For instance, for 2018/2019 cycle, they released the offers (yes, not GOA, the actual offer e-mails) as early as February 5. I was not expecting to see any change but I was, and still is, very anxious about my Chevening shortlist notification since the timeline for the scholarship explicitly states that the notifications of interviews will be sent "early to mid February". Therefore, I constantly check my e-mail and Chevening application portal. All of a sudden, I felt an urge to check Cambridge application portal today and saw the status change. I do not know when exactly it happened but I noticed it today. My status also changed from "submitted" to "under review by department" before January 10, but I cannot recall the exact date. However, it was before anyone else posted about it under this thread.

Just curious, but are there really any indications suggesting that they put people in GAO alphabetically? From 'submitted' to 'under review', perhaps, but that's a significantly larger batch. I assumed it would be a somewhat more "randomised" process of whenever new applications gradually pass through the filter as they go through them. 

Any movement, guys?

Same.. My last name starts with a B so if they are actually reviewing alphabetically, I should hear from them soon. Good luck everyone.
