The status of my application changed to 'under review' only a while ago.
For what it's worth, my surname starts with M.

Hi guys,

My third year applying for the Cambridge LL.M. guys

Not really expecting much this time round, Cambridge is no longer in my plans, just want to master the application process lol, probably extremely unhealthy I know.

Anyways, the usual comments on the forum each year 'is it alphabetical?' , 'do rejections come before acceptances?' , 'my application status has not changed yet, is this bad?'

Guys I can tell you the only two things that ring true for Cambridge LL.M. applicants...

If you reach the GOA then you're in.

If your status hasn't changed to 'rejected' then you're still in with a chance and no news is good news.

Sorry, but what is GOA? Apologies if that is a dumb question!

Mine is still "Submitted". But my surname starts with "T", so fingers crossed that is it.

GOA = Graduate Office Admissions

The applications go from the GOA to the department for review then they go back to the GOA for final approval.

The GOA 99.99% of the time always approve a decision made by the department, so if your application reaches the GOA after 'under review by the department' then you've pretty much received an offer.

I know of no individual cases that suggest otherwise.

Yes, I understand everyone does, in case you're eligible.

Hi, new to the discussion. Could you clarify what do you mean by in case one's eligible. Does it mean if one is not eligible, one does not receive the scholarship email?

Good morning/afternoon!
Does anyone have any news - i.e. status changes etc.?
Btw - did we have the USN from the start or got it at some point after submitting applications?
Thank you :)

Hi! No changes yet in my case. According to last year thread, applicants started receiving GAO approval as from February 25. Rejections e-mails started earlier though. Good luck!

Hi, for new applicants, USN number appears after the application has been submitted.
