once accepted at a college should we get some kinda correspondence from the college? e.g welcome pack/ booklets/ letter?

I just called Ms Wade and she told me I got accepted from the faculty!! she emailed me since 11 of March but i have not got any email yet!! now just waiting for an official letter!
Anyone who got her first email can kindly tells me is there any material contents in this email? any process we have to proceed with at this stage so that i ll prepare any possible thing. Thank you!! and hope to see you guys soon at Cambridge!!

You are the second person whose offer email got 'lost in the mail'!

The offer email doesn't say much. Basically, they tell you that the Committee has made you a conditional offer of admission and state that the e-mail does not constitute the formal offer - you will receive the formal offer letter by post from the University's Board of Graduate Studies. As far as I understand the official letter from BoGS is pretty much guaranteed. So you're in, congrats!

Does anyone know exactly which day king's was full?

mine says seeking college membership but i really want kings to reject me soon so my app can go to my second choice! otherwise i might be pooled.

do you think i can withdraw from king's? i'm sure they'll reject me anyway and think i'm missing out on second choice.

also kind of annoyed that it took so long to send my app to colleges.

Hi Guys. Just noticed that m camsis has been updated. It now says, " offer made, seeking college membership". I am so happy! Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes for camsis to notify you that you have been accepted at a college?

Hi Wols. Congrats! We all know the feeling! From my experience, it takes about a week for a College to get back to you. It could be more or less though. Good luck! Let us know which one you get into.

I have been waiting for a decision from my college (second choice, since my file was never sent to my first choice) for almost 2 weeks now. I have heard that it can take up to 2 months for a college to reach a decision, which would be really crap for us because it seems that places are filling up quickly. Really annoyed about the delay too!

I've read somewhere that some people waited a long time for their college decisions, but when they accepted their offer, things went rather fast. If you want to go to Cambridge anyway and haven't accepted your offer via the self-service yet, then perhaps this might be a good a idea. However, I really don't know if such a connection really exists.

For my part, I am still waiting for the formal letter as well as for my CamSiS to be updated. It still says that I've been recommended for an offer subject to BGS...

Hope the teaching in Cam is better than the administration and application process.

No, I still have to provide evidence for some conditions. I have fulfilled everything, but I haven't sent all the required documents to the BoGS yet (I'll probably do that next week).
No need for you to worry, however. It just seems that Jesus College responds very fast. I guess that just depends on your college, but you'll surely receive mail from your College after you've been accepted.

@GermanGuy: Which university do you come from? I'm from Germany, too (yeah, the name is a little misleading). Which colleges did you apply to?

seems like i'm in the worst situation, I havnt got the formal letter until now. I, thus, dont know the conditions, the college process and how to proceed with my admissions!
