I am finishing my EMTTLF this semester, so perhaps I can give you some insight. The majority of students from 2010-2012 went to Strasbourg. We were 21 in total accepted (counting European and non European, lawyers and other backgrounds, etc) and just 6 got a spot in the Frankfurt track. ILF usually accepts around 5 students, but that might change any year. For my taste, Tilburg and ILF are the best unis involved in this programme. Good luck!

it would be great if somebody could tell more about the internships organised by Duesto - I saw the ILF regulations and apparently the internship will need to be arranged by Duesto. Any ideas how this works out (e.g. placements, paid/unpaid, job offer(s) after the internship)? Is there some difference from the regular ILF internships?
As you can probably deduct I got into the ILF track. I am an EU national, still on the waiting list for EM scholarships, but considering other options for financing.

Did Anyone receive an email from Deusto to send the documents? I haven't hear from them since the acceptance email. Besides, must all documents be original or they can be certified copy? Also the toefl certificate?
Sorry for all these questions... I just getting mad with their silence...

I think you don't have to worry that much. The process must be quite long as I think that all applications must go to European Commission level for approval. As for me I will send certified copy, I don't wan't to throw away my original documents. We will hear from them soon I'm sure :)

Here is the email I received two weeks ago

"Regarding your question, we are still waiting for the letter from the European Commission. It usually delays a little bit.
As soon as we receive it, we will send you all the information regarding to official letter of acceptance, practical information for accommodation and other relevant information".

Well there isn't much room for interpretation, is it? Plus it was explained with great detail by a former colleague of mine a couple of posts back.

I said that Deusto will not arrange any scholarships.

Only the students on the Frankfurt track will get arranged scholarship, and in principle only after the "true" ILF students have been served. As a matter of fact, as an EMTTLF student at the ILF, it is indeed forbidden to contact the ILF sponsors (which are virtually every white shoe law firm and financial institution in town) to arrange internships on your own. In turn, I have to admit that at least from the 2nd edition onwards, ILF-arranged internships, even for EMTTLFrs, were quite attractive.

For the rest of the Strasboug folks, there is no internship unless you get it yourself. As I recall it, most of EMTTLFrs but two or three were actually incapable of securing an internship, turning to the thesis instead.

As a matter of fact, CEIPI-trackers won't even be able to do the internship, since classes go until the month of May and the thesis is compulsory.

Btw from the perspective of an European (more precisely: from the EU) working for a major international firm I have to say that anybody (the one or two anecdotes aside), planning to set a foot in European white-shoe firms beyond a mere internship through his or her EMTTLF credentials must be rather delirious. This being said with all due respect to my former colleagues.

Thanks for your honest words. Yes, it was discussed earlier, and all the posts are indeed insightful and illuminating, and so was yours. As i'm quite confused and dubious about what route to take, i.e. whether to get to EMTTLF this year or wait a year and apply for higher ranked universities in US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (I LOVE Auckland!!), I'm just trying to get the most of all these invaluable posts and sharing.

Finally an update came up!
Seems grantees are now confirmed by EU Commission. And it's now up to us to decide to go for it or to step aside. It's a damn hard situation. Let's share our thoughts guys.

I really don't know what the problem is!! I sent you my email twice but no luck! So I'm sending it here in the hopes of getting it sent.
Anyway, I think the surest thing to do now is send filled-in accommodation application form. And as for legalization of documents, it's pretty much simple. Just have all the relevant documents at hand and take them with you to the Spain consulate or embassy in your country. they charge you a fee and perhaps put a stamp or something on them to show that they are genuine according to Spanish standards. That's it!
Let's just move on step and step and every thing will get clearer as we go ahead.

In fact, I asked for join the group last Monday, but until now they didn't approve my request, so I couldn't write anything there... Does anyone have the same problem?

If by "filling the accomodation form" you refer to applying to Deusto's own student residence, I strongly advice you to stay the hell away from it.

Do you mean the Colegio Mayor? Is it really bad?
I found it expensive, and anyway I don't think it's nice to eat in the same place everyday, and once you had paid the whole month for it, I would be a waste of money go to eat anywhere else.
What about flats shared provided by Deusto? Also bad?
