The Program
As part of its educational purpose, the BSC organizes since 2010 a high-profile, specialized study program in EU competition law and economics.
From now on, the program in competition law will be jointly organized with the University of Liège (ULiege) and Saint-Louis University (USL-B). Students who pass their exams and dissertation will receive an ‘Interuniversity Certificate in Competition Law’, which is worth 32 credits.
The LL.M. program is divided into 10 modules and 4 Clinical Seminars covering the full range of EU competition law and economics issues: joint ventures and horizontal cooperation agreements, vertical agreements and distribution networks, cartels, abuses of a dominant position, mergers and acquisitions, State aid, etc.
The LL.M. provide:
1. A comprehensive and structured teaching curriculum (+ periodic assessments);
2. A multidisciplinary approach, with courses in both competition law and economics taught by leading experts from the private and public sectors;
3. A schedule that is fully compatible with the requirements of professional practice.
4. Opportunities for its students to socialize and meet fellow competition professionals on a regular basis
To date, the LL.M has attracted more than 400 participants from all areas and practices (e.g., in-house counsels, lawyers, economists, civil servants, etc.).
With this background, it is fair to say that the BSC's LL.M. has already gained a strong educational and international recognition.

The Law School
The Brussels School of Competition (BSC) is a private foundation based in Brussels, with a mission to foster education, compliance and research in the field of competition law and economics.
It is organized under the auspices of the BluePoint.

The Faculty
The increased importance of economics in competition law proceedings is a real trends. And that is why the study programme at the BSC is shaped to reflect that trends.
Each group of professors in charge of a module includes, at least, a lawyer and an economist. This helps participants to gain insight on the important concepts and theories of harm used on a daily basis by competition authorities.

At the BSC, there is a alumni group, The Friends of the BSC that promote discussion of and interest in competition law, economics, and policy as a professional field and academic discipline as well as other interested parties, for networking and professional development.

Entry Requirements
All applicants must hold a Master in law or economics or a master from a business school.
Alternatively, applicants may hold a master un another field and demonstrate sufficient legal expertise (e.g. professional experience or additional training in law).
Language skills : all our courses and seminars are given in English. Working knowledge of English is strongly recommended (Council of Europe, Independent User, scale B2 in English).

Tuition and Fees
The tuition fee is 6.500 euros for the entire program (10 modules + 4 clinical seminars).
The fee for a single module is 700 euros.The fee for each clinical seminars is 250 euros.
Participants shall hold a valid visa during the period of their attendance to the program at the Brussels School of Competition. Non-EU foreign students may have to provide a copy of their visa during the application process. Student Life
The LL.M. Programme has five unique defining features:
1. It offers practical training, thanks to an experienced contingent of competition lawyers, economic consultants, and senior officials;
2. It provides high - level lectures taught by outstanding academics;
3. It embraces a modern approach to training, fully reflecting the interdisciplinary nature (law and economics) of competition policy;
4. It proposes a flexible training program compatible with the requirements of professional practice;
5. It gives its students opportunities to socialize and meet fellow competition professionals on a regular basis.
Programs at Brussels School of Competition (BSC)
Part-Time
- Program jointly organised with the University of Liège (ULg) and Saint-Louis University (USL-B).
- Students receive an ‘Interuniversity Certificate in Competition Law’.
- Ten 3-week long modules.
- Classes are held Friday afternoons, on-campus as well as online for international students.
- Program duration may be prolonged to two years.
