KU leuven or Brussels School of Competition and job prospects!

mc68

Hello!

I am wondering if any one has any insight or experience with the KU Leuven LLM or the Brussels School of Competition LLM and the pros and cons of each one and how employers would see them!

Also, my second question is what job prospects would be after an LLM. I am coming from a Non-EU background and did my law degree in Hong Kong. I will have the right to work in Belgium once I get there through my visa since I will be under the visa were one joins a relative or partner.

Thank you!!

chicken so...

These are both good schools. Unless you already have the right to practice law in Belgium I don't think you'll be able to work as a lawyer, so that's off the table.

Language-wise, do you speak Dutch, French or German? If you only speak English you'll probably be limited to international organizations.

You can always contact the schools and ask about job possibilities after graduation. Ask them for any career statistics they have - how many international students are able to make that transition after an LLM.

In general an LLM isn't a great enabler of International mobility.
