The Brussels School of Competition programme looks very interesting to me. But the materials emphasize that it awards an "Interuniversity Certificate in Competition Law" (32 credits) whose name is "LL.M. in Competition Law and Economics".
Does this mean that what is awarded is something less than a full Masters in Law degree? And is the same true of other online programmes that award certificates that insert "LL.M." in their names -- I am thinking of the UCLouvain programme in international law ("you will obtain a ‘University Certificate’ entitled ‘LL.M. in International Law‘ and worth of 60 ECTS credits")?
Finally, if these programmes are not "real" LL.M.s, but certificate programmes that insert the word "LL.M." to increase their marketability -- this seems somewhat misleading to me, to be honest -- are folks familiar with LL.M. programmes that would count these credits so as to convert them into true masters degrees?
Many thanks!
