Yes, in other board, a girl from China said that she has been contacted by Yale yesterday. They did not interview her, just call her to notify about the admission. I hope that this means that they are making all the decisions. Please everyone who applied to Yale keep us posted even if you did not get good news.
Best luck for everyone.

Is Yale really doing interviews?
Posted Mar 03, 2011 17:48
No. they just call admitted applicants to inform them they are in or send rejection letters by post.

Good luck with your applications!

Hey guys,
Does this mean all the offers were given out yesterday? It can't take more than a day or two to call 20 odd people?
Congrats to those of you who did get offers- that's really impressive, well done :)

I think its probably over
Posted Mar 04, 2011 15:21
Yeah, I think they're probably done. Oh well. Coming fourth in one's class is usually not enough for Yale. Congrats to those admitted!

Anyone minded to call/e-mail and ask if they have released all admission decisions already?
Given that they will only accept around 25 persons, I also feel that they may very well have contacted those accepted already.

Yeah I guess so too. However, they apparently released the decisions sooner than last year.

I just called the Graduate Program Office and asked whether applicants will be notified via e-mail/ phone call or post.
I was informed that:
1) decisions have not yet been finalized and they expect this to be done by Mid-March.
2) Admitted students will be notified via phone call and those rejected via post.
I however have a feeling that they have probably released all admission decisions already and will send out the rejection letters by mid-March.
Congratulations to all those who have been notified of their admission!

I have the same feeling...Their class is really small so at this point I think they may have contacted all admitted applicants already.
Congrats to those who made it.

yeah you are right. But what pisses me off is why they keep saying that decisions have not been finalized?
It would be so easier to tell that all admitted people have been contacted by phone so do not expect anything in the coming days..

Do you think Yale would send an acceptance email if an applicant was unable to take the telephone call?
I had been out for the last week, and I'm afraid that Yale may have been calling my number!
Thanks.

it'd be quite odd if Yale ONLY notifies by phone don't you think? Aren't they supposed to give you admission materials or some such?

Hey,
All you have to do is check your phone for missed calls and see if any of those numbers resemble any of the numbers for Yale's Graduate Program. Just call back that number and I am sure you will get your answer!
Cheers :)

I am a current LL.M. at Yale. As far as I was told all decisions/calls are already made. As an offer of Yale won't normally be rejected, there seems to be no waiting list.
Posted Mar 06, 2011 13:09
Are you sure? Did they complete the entire selection process already?
Posted Mar 06, 2011 14:34
yes, it is done. Fulbright students were the last who got informed.
