Im a 24 year old kid from New Zealand looking to do an LLM in America. I really want to go to Berkeley, Columbia or NYU. However, I noticed that almost all universities in America have 3 admission requirements, being (1) undergraduate degree (LLB); (2) English Language; and (3) 2years professional work experience.
I meet the first two requirements, but not the third. I only just completed my LLB with Honors earlier this year, and only just started working as a graduate at a law firm.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what my chances are of being accepted despite the fact that I dont meet the 3rd requirement.
I have spoken to my professors at the university which I attended in NZ, and they have told me to apply regardless, because I have the money to under go the LLM course (fortunately my family can support me financially). What do you guys think?
Worth Applying?
