I applied in November and I did not use the LSAC system either. And I haven't asked for a waiver cause in their application instruction they clearly say you can also apply not using the LSAC... a waiver request is not neccessary ... at least for NYC, don't know about NUS.
I got my confirmation email around a week later.
why still no confirmation from NYU???

I also received my confirmation email despite not having used LSAC. I didn't get the impression that it was necessary to request for a waiver. I remember the application package stating that one could use the transcript request form if LSAC represented an unecessary financial burden.

When I called NYU I was being told that LSAC is required for international students. Only for that reason I used LSAC which was a total waste of money and also delays the application process since I have no report yet even if I submitted all materials required to LSAC five weeks ago... Of course, no confirmation e-mail from NYU so far.

How do you know that they received the documents on Dec. 1?
Posted Dec 16, 2008 20:44
I haven't received a confirmation email either. Submitted my application on Friday before the deadline, so perhaps they only have a lot of applications to deal with. However, am getting a little nervous. Should I call NYU? did anyone call them and ask whether their application is complete?

I did use LSAC because international applicants were instructed to do so.

I got a waiver from LSAC, thats why I asked. It appears we are the only two remaining that didnt get the confirmation letters, I wondered were we the ones that got waivers and hence the long wait...

Oh, I see. Let's hope it's only the large number of applications they are handling now! good luck and happy christmas!

I submitted around november 5, and used LSAC. But my final LSAC report was only sent in december 10.

Guys, just curious. For those of you who has got the confirmation email (saying that application is complete and will be submitted for the Office's review), is it "signed" by a staff of the Office by the initial M.O?
As to the LSAC, I understand that the application instruction discourages applicants for NYU@NUS program from using the service.

@nyunusapplicant: the email sent by "M.O", Graduate Admissions Assistant. may i ask how is this relevant?

Same here... Still no confirmation e-mail. Package sent Nov 10, and should have arrived around Nov 14 (international registered letter, not UPS). No LSAC, and got a waiver only after my documents were sent. Starting to get all stressed out!!! But let's keep the faith...

guys even i haven't received the confiirmation mail. so that ways we are safe till only one of us is left with no confirmation.
even i have not used lsac and i believe that it won't be a ground for non-confirmation.
in case they really need lsac for every internartional application they should atleast have the courtesy to tell us via e-mail. after all, we have subitted the online application on time and with the fee,
