Just want to share with those who are waiting for the financial aid, I received an email that I got the dean's scholarship, and I am sure the relevant results regarding the financial aid will be out soon! Good luck to us all!

First of all, congrats! If you don't mind, I have a couple questions. Is the financial aid you received consistent?
When did you get it and when were you admitted to UPenn?
Thanks in advance

Thank you! I checked the box stating that I would like to apply for the scholarship when filling out the application form. I received the email on feb 27 and my applied for the early review and thus my admission came out around late Jan. Hope this answers to your question.

Harveyhayden, where did you check the box regarding scholarship in the application form? I checked mine and it only asks in Section 1.Application form (question 9) whether employer or smb else is going to finance education. Was there indeed some box to check if I wanted to apply for scholarship?! I thought they consider everyone for scholarship..

I checked once again my application and could find only question about Human Rights Scholarship.. I am totally confused now..

Sorry for the misleading description. I did state that I would like to apply for the human right scholarship in the form, but the result is I got the dean's scholarship. Then, I think you're right that everyone should have the chance to be considered. Gingerella, thank you for your clarification!

Thank you for clarification, Harveyhayden! Well, hopefully they will send out other fin aid decisions soon.

Wait, you applied 2 months *after* the deadline.. does that mean you requested and were granted an extension?

Hi everyone I'm an. LLM applicant at upenn. I applied after the deadline and was considered for an extension. I wanted to know how much time does it take between the time they receive the application and for them to render a final decision. Also I wanted to know about the contents of the welcome packages that they send. Thanks

The packages include the following items:
1. The official acceptance letter (same content as email)
2. A booklet "Course Information"
3. A booklet "LLM Public Service Program"
4. A booklet "The Gittis Center for Clinical Legal Studies"
5. A booklet "Enjoy Philadelphia! Things to Do, Where to Live, How to Get Around"
6. One sheet introduction to "Wharton Business and Law Certificate"

Hi all, I am an LLM applicant from Taiwan. Currently I received admissions from Georgetown, Northwestern, Penn and Michigan. Though I am still waiting for more outcomes, I still would like to hear from your opinion on how the choice should be made. Because I would like to focus my LLM study on corporate laws, it seems rather apparent to me that Penn is the place to go, with its strong corporate course offering, mid-size LLM student body, (slightly) higher overall ranking, and of course collaboration with Wharton B School. Nevertheless, please feel free to drop a line or two. I would love to have some second opinion.
To extend the discussion, I would also like to know what your suggestion would become, in the case I am later admitted to NYU, Columbia, Stanford and/or Harvard in a few weeks time. I understand these are all hypothetical (I may never have a shot in any of these top schools), but just for discussion's sake, let me know how do you think.
