I just got a waitlist email from Penn. Any idea what the chances are for acceptance? Also any idea If they offer to more than 115 students in the first go keeping in mind some people may reject it? Or they offer 115?

Same here.. I am surprised about the timeline as well, how are we supposed to wait for potential acceptance starting in April when other schools require first deposit in early April?

Usually school knows its yield rate and issues more offers than annaunced class size, as many students will also be admitted to higher ranking schools. Unfortunately schools do not publish their yield rates for LLM programs, and we left only to guess what is the ratio between issued offers and actual enrollment.

As we can see from the previous thread, they began to issue admission for waitlisted candidates on 3 April, so we may assume that at least some were admitted in the end. But your particular chances also depend on the size of waitlisted pool.

It may sound a little bit cruel, but waitlisted candidates are usually viewed as of inferior quality which should fill the gap, if more initially accepted candidates, than expected, will choose higher ranking schools. Usually schools have large pool of waitlisted candidates, and only the most committed candidate, which did not accept offers from other schools or who is ready to lose his/her deposit in another school, will have chance of acceptance.

My status went blank with no date and information and it says that decision correspondence was sent out yesterday but I received no e-mail. Anybody else with this phenomenon?

Congratulations! What does the app tracker say about your mail description of your acceptance mail? Do they name it acceptance mail or is it called decission correspondence?

Hi, where are you from?

France (although I am a foreigner, I did all of my studies there so I guess that's the demographic)

If you are using Gmail, you may have received it in the promotions or social network folders rather than the main inbox one. It was the case with my e-mail. I only saw it because one of my messaging apps didn't filter the mails (but I didn't see it at all before on Gmail because it wasn't on the main inbox)

I need help.
I applied for English Proficiency Test Waiver from Upenn's website. It asked me for all the details and reasons as to why Im requesting the waiver. I did not recieve any response fron Admission's Committee regarding my waiver application and on the other hand my application status says that my application is incomplete because I haven't sent out my English test scores via LSAC. I tried emailing the admissions committee but they are not very helpful regarding this issue.

My status date just changed (it went 16/01 to 15/02) - can someone tell me if that means a decision (acceptance/rejection/waitlist) is coming soon ? And if yes, how soon approx until I have the decision ?
thanks !

I think that means a second reviewer is reviewing your application -- that's what I heard about how the reviewing works for Upenn. Hope it's a good sign, good luck!

Not sure for the reviewing part, because my application was marked as complete on the 16th of Jan :)

FYI Mine was marked complete on December 7 and status date changed to January 24 later. And it hasn't changed since then.
