I have not received an email from Upenn yesterday although I applied for early notification. Is anybody else in the same situation?

Dear all,

Congratulations to those who got in and wishing those who've got deferred to hear some good news in the near future.

I guess I am the first one on this board to officially get REJECTED :|

This is a kind of email you don't want to get:

Dear XXX:

After careful consideration of your application and supporting documents, the International Programs Committee has concluded that it will not be possible to admit you for post-graduate legal study at Penn Law. Competition for the LL.M. Program is very keen and the Committee admits a small number of applicants each year.

We appreciate the interest you have shown in this program and regret that we could not take favorable action upon your application. Unfortunately, Law School policy does not permit us to revisit individual applications or the basis of the Committee's evaluation of them.

I am certain that your past achievements and future promise will continue to lead you to success. We wish you success in your future endeavors in legal education.

Sincerely,

Matthew Parker
Assistant Dean
Graduate Programs
University of Pennsylvania Law School

I already got admission to CLS and Georgetown so I am fine about this bad news. Just wanted to let you guys know that they also release rejection emails!

Again... good luck to you all :)

Nokina;

Nothing to be worried, you were admitted into CLS, and I believe that most people will agree that CLS is better and more selective than Upenn, so, you have to feel lucky!!

But is very courious how Law Schools (particulary UPenn) selects candidates.

In my case, I was deferred as both.

Brasil. But I did not receive any letter from Upenn. I applied to the Wharton-PennLaw Program.
Deferred in CLS.

2 from Brasil accepted in this post. It doesn`t seems good for me...

A friend of mine (also from Brazil) was also admitted to UPenn. So, we are at least 3.

When do you (and/or your friend) received the email? Do you know any Brazilian rejected or deferred?

I am Brazilian, from Belo Horizonte, admitted in Columbia and deferred at UPenn. Also know two Brazilian girls (one from RJ and one from SP) that have also been admitted at Columbia.

Brasileiro também, deferred... ehehe. But I will certainly turn down any offer from UPenn, since it is my "seventh and last choice" (ou falta de opção).

I've heard of another 'franciscan' (USP) guy who was admitted.

Hello

I applied to Upenn about 3 weeks ago. I submitted my transcripts and TOEFL score via LSAC. However, on the Upenn status webpage it is stated that they have received my TOEFL score but not my transcripts? Does anyone else have the same experience?

Anyone?

In december, I had to send an email to remind them to ask for my transcripts at LSAC.
