You have been admited early at CLS and defered at Penn? Since CLS is more exigent and selective, that could mean that in Penn most of the decision were "deferred".

About the program with Wharton, keep in mind that you will not have classes with the MBA's or Undergradute, so, is not the same as an MBA. Anyway, UPenn is a grat Law School I think.

That's right (admitted to CLS and deferred in Penn). Also admitted to NU in early action... Maybe the "larger number of applications" stuff is right, although I don't buy that idea...

Thanks for tip about Wharton, definetively something to keep in mind (and in budget! :) )... Brazilian real exchange rate to the US Dollar has increased materially within last months and living in NY has turned out to be extremely expensive, but no doubt I will enroll in CLS if no other affordable high-quality option shows up...

i got deferred to the regular cylce at UPENN. However I've already been admitted to CLS early review so i cant complain :)

Today I received an e-mail from the Assistant Dean of Admissions of UPENN informing me that there are much more candidates than the last year so the deadline to inform the final determinations was extended to March 1st, 2009. I also understand that UPENN accepted and rejected some applications.

Any of you have news about this?

I won't keep my place because I was also admitted to CLS in regular cycle. So there will be one more slot for Penn within a month (deadline to make the deposit).

I'm a foreign applicant from Europe with no work experience (except two years of internships during my studies) and I was ranked top of my class several years.

Fisrt, congrats for you admissions (CLS and Upenn) I was defered at both, but, If I get accepted, I will choose CLS as well.

Might I ask you if you will just not make the deposit or, you will send them before that date (March 1) an email decling their offer? Because if you decline their offer, it will be sooner an available spot.

I got admission too. I'm from Asia. I think from the words in deposit from within 30 days of email notice admission, or by April 1, whichever is later....", we can make deposit before April 1. I'm not sure if I'm right. Also congrats for you admission of CLS, which is a better choice! I'm still waitting for news from CLS (regular review) :(

I applied to Upenn about 3 weeks ago. I submitted my transcripts and TOEFL score via LSAC. However, on the Upenn status webpage it is stated that they have received my TOEFL score but not my transcripts? Does anyone else have the same experience?
