Hi lion. I have also applied for the Corporation Law LLM and advanced certificate program. I called NYU admission office on Monday, and they said that a decision has been made and the mail has been sent. But I haven't received it yet. I don't know is it an acceptance or a rejection. I have been admitted to Georgetown and Duke. Where are you from?

Senih, does it mean that they rejected you but didn't want to tell it to you by the phone?
By the way, did somebody get rejection letter from NYU?

I don't know what does it mean. I hope that it is not a sign of rejection. But I'm sure that they won't tell the final decision on the phone (whether it might be an acceptance). I'm still waiting for their mail.

I havent received anything yet !!! Damn ...:-(
Did you guys apply close to the deadline?
And when you call NYU Offices, do you use the telephone for General information @NYU ? Thanx 2all 4the information ;-)

Common guys! Don't let the situation stress u out! The thing that we (u and me) haven't received their answer doesn't mean anything. It's just that they concider applicants carefully and don't rush with their decisions. They know that we gonna wait and that's true. So relax, have a beer and see u in NYU!

you so rite Savece ...but its not always easy to do ...Ive just called NYU, and they said a decision has been made on my application yesterday and that i should receive it in a couple of days ...if thats not stressful ...i dunno why but i have a bad feeling ...

Most of the people hear received the answer, how can I relax? Did anybody succeed in receiving the answer from the admission office by phone?

I called NYU on Monday and I was told that a decision was made and mailed last week....I am stil waiting for the mail. I am not nervous, but a little worried cause I haven't received it yet. I hope it was not lost in the mail....

No yoni, they dont give any answer by phone but they can let you know about the status of your application i.e: has it been reviewed by the Committee, or has a decision been made etc.
But nothing about refused or admitted.

any idea if calling them might prejudice the application in any way (if no decision has been reached of course)....

Hi Mihir C, Do you mind telling me what your friends backgrounds are? I am Indian too- and if it is true that there is a geographical quota- just wanted to figure out what they're looking for...
I called today and they said my application was still under review. It is getting quite stressful- I get the feeling that they are letting the definite accepts know first since I havent yet heard of a single reject!

Hi all..has someone received a rejection letter from NYU? Did it come by regular first class mail or UPS? I think that admission letters are being mailed by UPS, and rejections by regular mail... any clue?
Congrats to all you already admitted to NYU, I am still waiting for the decision.

Last year, I got an email on March. 15. It said that the admission committe had made a decision and invited you to read the decison. You link to the hyperlink the email attached and can see the decision. Several weeks later, you can receive the decison by ordinary mail. Anyway, this applies to rejection decision.
In my opinion, during the application decision, "No news is bad news"

It seems to me that they are sending the Asian's decisions first. Am I correct? Has anyone that is not from Asia received the package yet?

I am from Latin America but live in NY and have not received any acceptance/rejection yet. I called NYU today and told me that my application is being reviewed by the admission office and that I will have an answer by April 1.

Those who were admitted at NYU, had high scores at the toefl? Everybody got the minimum required in all the subsections of the TOEFL?

I am an international student and I havent received yet any letter from NYU regarding my application, I call the Admission office yesterday and they told me that the letter was sent to me two days ago. So, I entered the NYU Admitted students site and stated my Admission Identification number and my date of birth, but the system did not recognized me. Do you think that means that I was not accepted?

Ive been admitted to NYU and they give you an ID number: this is the one you are supposed to use...so I think you should wait for the mail and you'll know by then...:-)
