Is this Admissn Id no which nyu is now sending with their admission letter and parcel (starting with the no 8) not the same as the one which is generated upon creation of the online application at the beginning of the process -- could you please check and let us know --- in fact if you log back on to the online application (not the admitted students web site) on the nyu site with ur user name and passwd you can see this Admissn Id No, if u havent noted it down elsewhere...

Could u Please check the two nos and tell us if they are the same or not?? many thanx:)

Yoni, you mean the one we get when we apply, i dont think its the same than the one they give you when you admitted, is it? im not home rite now so i cant check and compare, ill let you know as soon as im home, maybe some others can check and compare..but hey dont draw conclusions so quickly, be patient..i used to be like you, and maybe they activate your account later on...Keep the faith anyway man !!! :-)

I haven't heard of any rejections so far....
But something tells me we'll get know if any very soon.

Reading along this thread, I have to say, this admitted students website is such a torture!

Does someone know how strict they are with TOEFL IBT scores. In my case I got the minimum required (100) but I got a 24 (instead of a 26) in the reading section. Those who were admitted, can you please let me know your scores?! Thanks.

Yoni, I checked and compared the ID numbers, they are the same.
But this does not mean that you are not admitted because you cannot log in. Wait for the answer. They probably activate your account once a decision has been made on your file.
The fact that you cannot log in yet, does not necessarily mean that you are not admitted, just wait & see... I know its hard, I used to be in the same position and still is for another LS.

I Hope they are considerate enough to notify rejections through e-mail and not through regular mail which may take weeks in case of foreign applicants.

I am getting nervous now. I haven't received mail form NYU yet, and the admitted students website didn't work for me either. .. I think it means that I might be out of the game too. Any other rejection lately?
