About the phone call you receive to inform you about the admission and the subsequent scholarship, Is the number from NY with the dialing code +1 212? Or do they use a call center abroad to place the call?
This is because I just missed a phone call from a non US number (and obviously not from my country's either), and I was wondering if it was a call from NYU or is it one of those hoax phone calls.
Argh this couldn't have happened at a worst time.

NYU home number is 212 area code. Often it is 212-998 to start...

The Office of Graduate Admission's number, which is listed on the bottom of the application status page, is (212) 998-6060. Hopefully someone who has received a call can confirm this.

It turned out to be one of those hoax calls.
The number was all over the internet, its a Congolese number wtf.
What an awfully bad timing.
Back to frustration then.

I am, but I asked the office of graduate admissions to update my resume on february 27th, so I guess (and hope!) that I will take a little longer than the rest.

So I just called and they said that we could get an answer anytime from NOW to May....
I can't wait anymore !!!!

There are quite a few I know of who only submitted their app supporting docs in January and got a response recently..

For all those who are waiting for a reply, what does ur app status check say? As in mine is " application complete and under review " till date... Is it the same for everyone... I applied in October but m yet to get any answer...

My application was not completed until last week since LSAC forgot to send my TOEFL to NYU -_-
So I am guessing that this fact slows down the time of my application to be completed!

As an international student I should be happy to hear this but it makes me a bit sad for US students really... It's your own universities, surely it should be the other way round! But then again the best unis have the highest demand.
