NYU LLM 2014

Not every Applicant is on here. My pal in the office got an admission phone call yesterday for IBRLA... So I'm sure there are others like that too.

yeah, I know two people who've been admitted to IBRLA.

It's just an idea but it looks like people who already heard from NYU are applicants with work experience

Unfortunately, that's not right. Look at apptracker !

weberwang,

I've been in Philly for several years w big intl firm. Philly is actually an awesome city and UPenn and Wharton are world famous. I have a family here; the city is "walkable" w lots of stuff for kiddos. I grew up on the west coast and had heard that Philly was pretty rough. After a couple visits, though, I was totally in love! Hope this helps.

I know this is coming- I've been stalking this post for days: I am a US grad, applied to the NYU tax llm program in Nov., my requirements list has not changed, and I'm still waiting on NYU (grrrrrrrrr) w a deposit at another school due next week.

Ps- congrats to those who have been admitted- regardless of whether you got a scholarship, or not.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Ever since Penn's admissions hit my mailbox weeks ago, I have been trying to learn all about Penn Law and Philadelphia. I would say my impression largely matches your description, both in terms of Penn's academic credential and about the life in Philly. I wonder where did you and your family live when in Philly. I am currently looking at apartments around the Logan Square, which according to a friend who spent several months in Philly is a very friendly neighborhood and with decent pre-school for my 4 year old.

But now, I need to start all over again with NYC. I guess that's just how life goes. You detour and detour until you are (hopefully) on the right track. Good luck and hope you get what you want.

Anyone else who didn't get a reply yet or whose list didn't disappear and status date unchanged, starting to lose hope?

Me! I don't expect positive answer anymore :(

Ditto ='( I really hope we're all wrong, but I'm just so nervous/ anxious/ upset at this point. Being consoled by the fact that my plans for undergrad didn't work out the way I wanted them too, but I ended-up having a great time... everything happens for a reason.

Congrats to everyone who's been admitted, and good luck to everyone still playing the waiting game. May we all hear back soon.

Hello guys, congrats to all those admitted not only to nyu, but any other llm program of your interest.

Just to let you know, after receiving my positive decision from nyu, I checked the applicant online status. There I found the mesage that the decision has been sent to my email address.

So, the fact that nothing appears on your inbox or the online status, does not necessarily mean you were unseccessful.

I don't know if this information is helpful for those waiting, but I got my decision only three days after the first admission appeared on the llm application tracker.

I was already thinking with myself that I hadn't been approved and I was completely wrong.

Hope, everyone! We've been waiting for three or four months. One week should not make you all feel down.

Was just curious coz no one mentioned it.

Acceptance would be good enough given this insane waiting game. Sometimes, I wish I knew nothing about the forum and just accept the fact that it is the dead zone and everything is out of my control. That being said, it is definitely a good forum for sharing and people are kind enough to help out each other.

Just recieved a phone call from NYU, in which I was offered an admission (+ scholarship).

I applied for the legal theory program, and my requirements list has never gone blank - so it is apparently not very accurate indication as to the chance of admission...

Good luck everybody!
