Hi! Do anyone knows if NYU can match another scholarship granted by a T10 school? And if that is not the case, if you are given the Dean's Award Scholarship, you can later receive a larger scholarship grant? Thanks!

Hi all! I hope you are well.
I am interested in applying next year for the NYU LLM. My credentials are as follows:
- Argentine lawyer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires. GPA: 8/10. - Worked for two years in a top tier law firm in Argentina. - After working in Argentina, I moved to Madrid, where I validated my law degree and completed a master's degree at the University of Navarra. GPA: 8/10. - I am qualified in Argentina and Spain - I am currently an associate at White & Case (US law firm) Madrid.
What are my chances of getting into NYU?

I have seen that you have posted similar messages on different schools pages listing out your grades/experience.
I think you’ve got a good nice shot at getting into big names just by the description you give but I do believe these schools will do a holistic evaluation of your profile and not base their decision on grades or big names on their CVs. I think the point of admissions committees at law schools for LLM programs is put together a diverse group of people who seem very competent to do the necessary school work and who want to do interesting things with their life. I think you will need to provide a compelling reason as to why you want to study an LLM at these schools and work really hard on your personal statement. In the end, you do not know how the pool of applicants will look like that year, so you can only do your best in your application and apply early. I encourage you to take the application process seriously as they will look into detail at everything you submit. I applied to 9 schools and spent EUR 2,400 in total just to see what my options were. Now I have some options on the table and will only actually do an LLM if this 100k investment truly aligns with my long term goals.

I really encourage you to apply and see what your options are. It is the only way you will know if you truly are a potential candidate. Hope this helps and good luck!
